How To Use This Running Calculator To Calculate Calories Burned
This calculator was designed to help runners determine how many calories they burned. It does not take into account for fast or slow runners and assumes your average runner.
To use this running calculator enter your weight (in pounds) in the Weight text entry field. In the Miles field enter the number of miles you ran. It is OK to enter decimal for fraction of miles. For example, 2.5 for miles. Click on the Calculate button and the number of calories burned for your run will appear in the Calories Burned Field.
Check out our other weight loss tools and calculators.
This Calculator is assumed for a 10 minute mile based up on on data from the Compendium of Physical Activities, published in the January 1993 issue of Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise.
Please discuss your Weight Loss and/or Exercise experiences in our Weight Loss and Exercise Forum.
Below is a chart you can use to manually calculate for different speeds.
