Besides finding diet snacks that you like, you must also learn to plan ahead. Make up snacks ahead of time, if possible. Cut up veggies ahead of time or make up mixes ahead of time and divide them into bite sized portions.
Trying to avoid getting too hungry to begin with is a good idea. Those who are over hungry tend to overeat and will try to eat whatever is in front of them. Drinking enough water a day will keep you hydrated and will help you feel less hungry. Try to drink at least 8 to 10 glasses per day.

Cinnamon Oranges (86 calories)
Ingredients
- 4 navel oranges
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp sugar
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
Remove the rind and white pith from the oranges. Cut the oranges into 5 or 6 slices. Arrange them on the plate. In a bowl, mix together the juices, sugar, and cinnamon. Pour over the oranges.
S’Mores Indoor Style (98 calories)
Ingredients
· 2 whole graham crackers broke in half
· 4 marshmallows
· 2 tbsp bittersweet chocolate chips, melted
Instructions
· Preheat broiler and put the oven rack in the upper third position.
· Put graham crackers on a baking sheet.
· Put one marshmallow on each graham cracker half.
· Broil with the oven door open until marshmallows are golden brown. This should only take about 60 seconds.
· Drizzle with a little bit of melted chocolate.
Sesame Carrots (33 calories)
Ingredients
· 2 cups baby carrots
· 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
· Pinch of dried thyme
· Pinch of kosher salt
Instructions
Simply mix the carrots with the rest of the ingredients.
Raspberry Pineapple Parfait (109 calories)
· 2 – 8 ounce containers of nonfat peach yogurt
· ½ pint fresh raspberries
· 1 ½ cups pineapples chunks, fresh, frozen, or canned

Divide up the ingredients and layer them into four glasses.
Chocolate Nut Butter Bites (79 calories)
Ingredients
- 8- ¼ ounce bittersweet chocolate squares
- 4 tsp almond, cashew, or pistachio butter

Simply spread ½ tsp of nut butter you like on top of each chocolate square.
Ham and Pepper Rolls (100 calories)
- 2 slices reduced sodium deli ham
- 1 tbsp reduced fat cream cheese
- ½ cup red bell pepper slices
Instructions
Put the cream cheese on the ham and top with the bell pepper. Roll.
Cheesy Popcorn
Ingredients
- 4 cups of already popped popcorn, air-popped
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Cayenne pepper
Instructions
Mix popcorn and cheese and season to taste with the cayenne pepper.
Diet snacks are a great way to get through the day and to avoid overeating. Healthy diet snacks do not have to boring. Simply find the best diet snacks that you enjoy and make them up ahead of time.
