The concept of "all natural supplements" comes up quite frequently here in the forum. I think it's important for all of us to look at what "all natural" means. It means that the medications contained in the product come from "natural" sources. Strange, in that there really isn't a strong definition as to what "unnatural" means, and many people pour their own meaning into the word. While "natural products" haven't been necessarily processed in a lab, they may also have not been "cleaned" by normal cleaning processes in the manufacture of the product. It may also mean that the claims of the producer have not been validated by the Food and Drug Administration...a nice way of saying that there's no data on the side effects and toxicities of the product. Bottom line is caveat emptor..."let the buyer beware"! All natural products are not necessarily safer than over the counter or prescription pharmaceuticals, and you won't have anybody standing up for you on the manufacturer's end if there are complications.
