Okay, so I'm just beginning, getting almost to the end of Week 1. I'm trying to Bring It, and feel like I am working hard, but finding that I'm further away from keeping up with the videos than I'd expected to be. For instance, Day 1 I was able to do a few pullups(and then did the rest with bands), but couldn't do any Dive Bombers or Diamond pushups (althouth I did do plenty of regular Pushups, some military, etc.). I simulated what I couldn't do with a Bowflex (keeping hands/arms positioned as in Diamond pushups, 'dipping' a bench press as in Divebombs). Ab Ripper X has been a struggle as well, and I admittedly could not complete it the first two times (although I improved, and expect to complete today). I was able to do everything on plyometrics and Shoulders/Arms, with breaks.
I realize that it is only Week 1, and I will vastly improve, but wondering if I should consider backing off to P90 before continuing with X. I am not afraid of the challenge, but just trying to decide which would be most efficient for me at this point in time. Obviously, X is the more intense workout, but if I am not able to keep up moderately to start, am I wasting time?
I guess I'm reasonably sure that other people have had the same experience to start, stuck with it, and had great results, but I'd like to actually hear that. As the intro to the program states, there is an expectation that you are in good condition to begin. I have the will, but even though I passed the fitness test not sure if I'm in proper 'starting shape.'
Any advice/experiences would be appreciated.
