i did it for 60 days...well kinda...the first 30 days were pretty strict but the last 30 i took a lot of days off. at the end of 60 days i lost 13 pounds. i can see my stomach getting smaller, arms getting a little toned but...ive read that you can't really lose fat and gain muscle at the same time cause you have to eat less to lose weight and eat more to gain muscle correct?...if this is the case then i would rather lose fat than gain muscle at this point. so my question is...should i eat the 2500 calories that p90x says to or stick to what i did before which was around 1200 calories? i really want to lose fat and gain muscle

Pretty sure you can build lean muscle while at the same time reducing body fat I would follow the nutrition guide, eating too little calories will make your body feed off muscle tissue and that's something you dont want.

Ive read a few blogs where people have hit a wall for weight loss, they up their calories and the weight starts dropping again.

Good calories. Follow the ratios in the guide. You can check out paulyp's nutrition guide on this forum... if you are eying it I would guess 1700-2200 calories/day depending on your personal needs.

Plug your numbers into www.teambeachbody.com/eat-smart/nutrition-tools/caloric-needs ...from what I can tell it's pretty accurate.
