i can't imagine the carpet being the culprit since it's padded.
land on your toes to minimize injuries

Do you wear shoes for Plyo?? I do mine on a tile floor covered by a thin wicker carpet. It is a pretty firm surface. I really concentrate on absorbing the shock with my entire body and landing on the toes. I also wear my running shoes (not much ankle protection though)which really helps. I wore regular sneaks and I was hurting a bit.

Plyo is my only workout where I wear shoes, but I have to.

Like they said, and Tony stresses a lot in the workout tape, land on your toes. Make the landings as soft as possible. If I were you, I would cut back on the height of your jumps if you're landing too hard. Form is more important than not since it's what will get you hurt if you don't follow it. I do mine on carpet or a yoga mat wihtout shoes. Try it with sneakers maybe. Is your leg hurting as in muscles or otherwise? It could be that your left leg was not as in shape as your right leg and is just sore.. I know that that cross move near the end of the workout was a little harder for me on the left leg than on the right. Anyway, try landing softly and on your toes, it absorbs the shock much better.

hunter i think you nailed it,
Chris is working on his ups, so I can definitely see him trying to jump through the ceiling

Chris if that's the case then get yourself some body weight either ankle or torso weight. something that will keep you grounded.

I doubt you'll get any permanent damage at this point, unless maybe you already had a prior injury to that leg or had a weak knee or something. I wouldn't worry about it that much, just try and concentrate on your form from now on and landing softly on your toes. Absorb the shock with your toes, not your heels and knees. Try and make it as soft as possible (no sound) like Tony stresses in the tapes. Good luck!
