what happens if you take a vacation or trip? 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi Guys,

I have just started my P90X, just finished the first week. I have to travel for business for 6 days, are there any suggestions on how to train or exercise whilst I am away?

You can do all the exercises with bands instead of weights, in a hotel room. I didn't buy the bands from beachbody, but rather from the company that used to supply the bands to them. That way I could customize my set. I also got a door attachment so I can do my "pullups" with the bands in a hotel room. The whole set fits easily into a suitcase with my other clothes & crap. I don't know if they'll allow you to take them in a carry on on a plane though. I just check mine at the gate so I don't have to worry about it.

I only take a carry-on, I've taken my bands with me 6 times already, no problems. If you needs weights of 16lb or less, I would also recommend the Aquabells ($60), fill them with water at your destination and you can have 8lb or 16lb dumbbells. Prior to your trip, you could also experiment with a water bottle filled with sand, if you need something disposable and dumbbell-like, just weigh it before you leave so you'll know how much it weighs when you recreate it at your destination. You can use a box or a thick book instead of a yoga block. I've done Plyo, S&A and Yoga away, no problem. Kenpo and X Stretch also should be a breeze.

I usually try to make sure that my back routines are when I am at home, so I'll do S&A while I am away, but sounds like you are gone for a long time.
