There's debates both ways. If you're allergic to milk, especially whey then Soy Protein is the best. There's been alot of studies, some say whey protein is more complete and will help build muscles better than Soy. Others say there "could" be bad effects from large intakes of Soy, on the flip side alot say soy is good. I'm using Whey just because the Soy Protein I tried didn't taste that good.

Also, it's important to be aware that soy products can contain phytoestrogens. These are plant-based estrogens that can potentially have rather disappointing effects in men.

It's in the eye of the beholder just how onerous this can be, but forewarned is forearmed. It may not even be an issue for you, but you might want to check the product out in advance. A dietician may be able to help you out as well.

Hope this helps...

There was a huge article in Men's Health last month about that. I'm not sure what small doses do to people but they guy in the article was chugging massive amounts of Soy Milk a day and started growing Breasts and lost his sex drive.

I'm using whey at the moment but I'm sick of the flavor and looking for something new. I'm drinking the Body Fortress Cookies 'N Cream Whey Protein. It has 52g of protein and only 7g of carbs.

I was thinking of picking up some of the EAS soy but I guess I won't if it messes you up like you guys are saying. Geesh.

There is a risk with the estrogen in soy milk but it's not really know at what levels it becomes a problem. In the end though it's probably better to limit any estrogen guys are taking in, especially if they're trying to bulk up.

Hello, female here. I used Soy Protein Powder for a years and it assisted in my weight loss. But when I switched over to whey protein, my weight dropped faster and my muscles started bulging. I have not gone back to soy protein powder since. I hate the taste of milk so I mix whey protein with soy milk.

You can use what you have recently purchased for now, but next time give Whey Protein a try. I use Designer Whey Protein Powder (19 grams of protein per serving).
