p90x training and the common cold 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi everyone

I've come down with a cold and its affected my p90x program, round 2. I'm tempted to start working out again tomorrow, after three days out. Would this be a wise choice, a recommendation? Has anyone ever trained with a cold before? What did you feel like after? Did it speed up you recovery process?

thanks
rickp90x.

I try and train when I have a cold but if I'm feeling weak and/or stuffed up you can't. If I can get though the workout - even if I can only go at 80% or so - then I try to. Better than nothing and can't ee how it'll worsen my "condition". Mentally it feels good to just know that you're not regressing I find.
But when you're SICK you just gotta take a time out for maybe a week. No big deal. You're on round two. You know the drill. Not going to make or break you, right? Do what you feel's right.

I would say it also depends on how sick you are. If you are feeling you are starting to recover, I would give it a go. I was sick this weekend and I missed my Kenpo X on Saturday, but I worked out today and I actually feel much better after working out. The workout was tough and I wasn't 100%, but the exercise helped to clear my sinuses and throat out actually.
