p90x nutrtion 1 Year, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi all
Im new here and Im about to start the p90x workout plus diet , but i have a questions and would realy like some help.
Im a level 2 according to the book , and should eat every day 7 proteins units 3 dairy units , 4 vegetebals 1 fruit 1 carbs 1 fats 2 snacks and 2 souces.
But in the diet plan that they give for a week - non of the days contains the full meals units. some days have 8 protein some 9 , some 2 fruits some 3 etc...so what should i do?
and how do you count the protien powder? is it 1 protein shake?
i need a propper plane to keep - i love chicken and fruits , the rest i dont mind...but i want to eat healthier ...i would realy like to get some help!
thank you

The book is an aid to guide you in the right direction for a healthier way of eating for the P90X program. Many people get confused on which method to use. Pick one and use it.

The easiest one I found to use is the daily portion units you describe as 7 proteins, 3 dairy etc... this allows you more variety and once you find a meal that you enjoy, you tend to eat it more often then trying different things in the full meal options.

Basically for me in the level 2 fat-shredder phase (which is protein based) I just makde sure I had a serving of protein for every meal and snack. I ate one fruit and had as many vegetables I could possibly eat. For my 1 carb, I would spread it out throughout the day. I try to maintain a 50-30-20(P-C-F)ratio. I also recommend you sign up at the fitday website in which you can enter you daily food and it will count your calories and give you a break down of your P-C-F ratio.

A protein shake is one serving of protein and is a great idea for a snack.

Once you get into it and you start seeing and feeling results the diet becomes easier to follow and it becomes easier to eat healthy instaed of unhealthy.
