Hello all,

New to this forum, been reading the topics for a while, but this is my first post.... I just started P90X this past saturday, started my new diet plan as well, but my question is this...
Ive notice on the infomercial and other youtube videos with peoples before and after pictures, my concern is this. I have yet to see someone who was really over weight, such as 35lbs or more... I know i am.. im 6'00 250lbs...

i just want to know, is there anyone out there who were really over weight that took the challange and had great results? or is this really just something for people who are already skinny and just want to get shredded and cut?

no matter the replys i get im not quiting, gonns do 90+ days of this program....

I was concerned about the same thing because I was more overweight then the infomercial people but I ordered it anyway. I can tell you with 100% confidence that if you follow the P90X nutrition plan and do the workouts you will lose weight and get fit. The biggest question you need to ask yourself is if you're physically fit enough to do the exercises. It is an extremely challenging workout and I could see some less fit people becoming discouraged and giving up.

It's a relatively inexpensive program if you compare it to a gym membership or a personal trainer so take a chance and buy it. If you discover that you aren't fit enough to do it right away work your way up to it. Make getting in shape enough to start the program your goal.

Why don't you read some of Big Papa's thread? He was well over 300 when he started, and lost 25 lb, but lost even more inches (at least 3 belt holes!) He finished one round, and is doing a 2nd round now.

So today is day 3 of week 2..... and for those who dont know, yesterday was the "mother" of all P90X workouts... plyometrics!!!!! i had a drenching sweat going for the whole work out, my HR was at 164 the whole time, i finished every excercise (didnt do that in the 1st week!), and now today, my hips are killing me... i believe its from all the landing. but i know for a fact, that as long as i continue to improve and stick with every single workout for the full 90 days, there is no way i wont see and get drastic results!! my diet is going good too.

JUST KEEP PUSHING PLAY!
DO YOUR BEST AND....................FORGET THE REST

Hello all! I wanted to respond to your question. I am in my 2nd phase (doing doubles now - started doing Lean version) I have lost 28 lbs so far & 3.5 inches off my gut! I am doing this with the purpose of losing weight, getting bigger muscles is just a nice bonus! My advise is to make healthy food choices, eat small meals 5-6 times a day... and just dont give up! Anyone can do this if they WANT to. Good luck & God Bless!
