I started p90x last week and i love it so far it pushes me to the limits which is what i need. Here is my question : will i get to bulky from this workout ?? I want to loose weight and be smaller but i dont want to have these huge muscles i just want slight tone ....

I am 5'6 190lbs i am looking to get down to 130 with some tone maybe 125 with tone.... also if i drink protein drink will it also make me huge ... i am at the moment making them but instead of a full scoop of protein i use only 1/2 scoop i really want to loose wight more than get huge and buff .

I'm guessing from your username that you're a woman. Don't worry about bulking up. For women to bulk requires a lot of effort and supplements.

If you really want to make sure then do higher reps with slightly lower weight. Aim for nothing under 12 reps and a max around 16-18. You'll gain a good amount of muscle but if you keep the reps high it'll be lean instead of bulky.

As for the protein shake, make sure you're not exceeding your daily calories with it, otherwise you'll gain instead of lose. But, no, you won't get huge and bulky just because you're drinking a protein shake.

thanks so much for helping ! I am not exceeding my calorie intake .. i actually am having a hard time getting close to the calories it tell me to consume ! I am staying around 1500 cals and i am doing phase 1 of the p90x diet as well as the workouts. I havent had a protein shake since i posted this bc i wasnt sure if i should. I know i can as long as i am working out... but i wonder what if i am not working out hard enough to have one.
