your video is incredible! i love the way it is put together! did you do it yourself?

your results are amazing, we have a similar body type and you really inspire me to bring it!

how much additional cardio did you do besides p90x to loose the fat?

Thanks man - I appreciate the feedback. Yep, I built the video using Pinnacle Studio 14 HD on my PC. I've been making family videos for years but my wife says this is my best one yet.

I also work in marketing for living so I've gotten pretty good at delivering a 'message'.

Good question on the cardio. Since I did all my workouts at night, I wanted to get my metabolism going in the morning so I would do my ab ripper M/W/F in the morning and then on T/TH/Sat, I would do 15-20 mins of elliptical machine. Sometimes I would mix in 15 mins of HIIT instead of the elliptical.

I'll tell you this, nutrition & supplements are 70% of the game!

Your results are really inspiring! I seem to remember you saying that you took creatine. Have you since stopped your creatine cycle? If so, was there any loss in muscle mass and/or repetitions during your workouts? I love the work that creatine can do, but I'm nervous about the mental impact it would have on me if I stop taking it and I start declining...

Thanks! That's a great question about the creatine. I actually took it for the last 30 days of round 1 but since it's supposed to be cycled 2 months on, and 1 month off, I decided to cycled off of it so that I can cycle back onto it for the last 60 days of round 2. Does that make sense?

So round 2 is all about bulking for me now. I'm running a 600 calorie surplus and I'm 5 weeks into it.

In terms of how it's impacted me... let's see:

I ended round 1 at 177 lbs and I stopped creatine, I also took a week off and ate some ice cream and stuff and I still lost a pound haha so I started round 2 at 176 lbs and after eating 3600 calories for 4 weeks, I was only at 179 lbs with body fat up a smidge.

So it's hard to say but I've been wondering the same thing as you... "Did I lose some volume at the same time because of being off creatine?" Perhaps but it was replaced by muscle gain at the same time so while I was surprised at the slow gain (with 3600 calories a day) BUT I'm not discouraged because I gained 3 lbs of mostly-muscle.

I'm thinking about starting a round 2 weekly update blog at my website if you're interested in following my progress. Several others have been asking me to do it...

So basically, if you don't start taking in more calories and actually attempting to increase the bulking, there is a potential that you could lose some mass?

I'd definitely be interested in your weekly blog. I'm about to start Phase 2 of Round 1 (I plan on doing at least 2 rounds) on Sunday. So far I'm down about 11 pounds and I've lost about 7% body fat so far (I started at 221 pounds and roughly 31% body fat). I probably will be putting pictures up early next week.
