Hello,
I completed the first 30 days back in April and lost 9 - 10 lbs and felt great, but then I got the flu sinus infection and I did not continue.
Once I recovered, I was overcome by this INCREDIBLE sense of
UN-MOTIVATION!!! I tried to "kick-start" the program several times during the following weeks but was unsuccessful.

NOW I am getting that old motivated feeling (mostly because I see the scale inching up on me!) I refuse to go backwards!

I just want to know if there is anyone out there who has experienced the loss of drive and motivation that I once had?
Why or what methods did you use to get back to the program?
How long did it take for you to come back?
What are good ways to keep the drive and desire going?

I plan on starting up regurlarly this Monday!!!
Thanks!

Hey chupacabra! You know I have battled with this struggle myself. I plan on going back to P90X on Monday also. All I can really tell you is that once you are in a routin that is really all you need. Well good luck and try to tell yourself it is all about changing your life.

not exactly the same situation, i actually finished, BUT, once i did, that was it. stopped doing anything (again) for about 5 months. nearly lost all that i had gained (well, fat lost). waist went from 40+, down to 37, back up to 40. weight stayed about the same tho, but it was definitely because i was gaining all the fat back and losing the muscle.

i guess my main motivation for getting back into it after 5 months was my wedding which is coming up in 2 weeks. and you know, once you start seeing/feeling the results, it just keeps you going. family and friends noticing the difference helped a lot too =)

cocoimloco,
Thanks for that info, I know that when I quit, even though I lost those pounds, I never really gained much back over the 3 mounths - but I did feel "flabbier" so that is scary because if you don't gain a whole lot back, then you get this false sense of security...
