TOPIC: This Chicks p90x Adventure Getting Fab Abs

"...but after missing the last couple days of working out, I almost talked myself into just quitting all together on the program. But instead I pushed play."

Good for you. Around the 30 day mark is when people tend to quit the most, apparently. Stick with it. P90X is as tough mentally as it is physically at times. If I were you I would try not to miss any more P90X workouts. Once in a long while ok, but two or more in a row and it becomes way easy to fall off the wagon altogether. Always remember why it is that you started this whole thing.

Yah...missing wokouts does make it easy to fall off the plan....I really do want to stick with it. It is just so hard for me because I live in CA where it is always sunny and nice out and I want to get outside. But I think after the recovery week....I can now refocus on getting phase 2 done. I may just have to use the recovery weeks as going outside and trail running and biking instead of the inside videos....that way I can be recharged for the new phases.

There is no way I would do this video series in the summertime, it is the perfect winter time workout though. I should of started a month earlier, but I didn't so I'll just have to push through!

MA,
I got nine days in before an injury out side of the X made me sit out about a 5 or 6 days. So I started back at day 1 today. Worked myself into regurgitation, I have not done that since HS. Feeling great now.

TODAY IS THE START OF PHASE 2~

It is beyond great to have the first phase under my belt. I know I didn't do the workouts exactly as "planned" on recovery week, but I feel I still got in some great cardio workout and recovery sessions

I felt pretty strong today and the workout just seemed to go by quite quickly.

Day 29 P90x
Chest, Shoulder & Triceps/Ab Ripper x

Sore level upon waking-0
So this is a new video for the week and I thought it was just okay. I like the Chest workout from Phase 1 a little better. But maybe it is just because I know all moves now. I sorta thought there was too much shoulder in this one.
Ab Ripper X is getting more fluid and goes smoothly now.

How does everyone else feel about the workouts this phase 2 compared to phase 1?

OH And thanks for the encouragement everyone!

1-armed push ups and corn cobbs in P2 are hell.

Day 30
Plyometrics
Sore level upon waking-2

Shoulders sore this morning from yesterday. I can’t say much about today’s workout; just that I’m always thrilled when it is over.

It was complete torcher for me to stay INSIDE and do this video when it is Blue Skies and 74 degrees!
