I am sore for two days after Kenpo as well! I usually have to sit down VERY SLOWLY on Day 7.
Lucky you that you can cut down on the workouts. My routines usually go over. I suspect my asthma is hindering my workouts. Round 3 started yesterday, and being on the fat shredder diet I am already feeling better. |

3/27 Legs and Back, ARX With one round of Shoulders and Arms
3/28 Yoga X in place of Kenpo (Legs felt much better very little soreness) 3/29 A.M. Cardio X P.M. Chest and Back, ARX Still slightly sick. My legs feel so much better today though. I felt very motivated last night 1/2 hour after my workout. Maybe it was the shake I had. So I jumped back up on the bar and maxed out my Wide front and reverse grip pull-ups. I think plyo is going to go well tonight being that I have my legs back under me. I never thought I would still be this motivated 7 months into this program. April will be the 8th month. |

3/30 Plyo
3/31 CST, ARX and 1 round of Chest and Back 4/1 Cardio X Concert 7dust and BLS 4/2 Legs and Back, ARX and 1 round of CST 4/3 Rest 4/4 Yoga X 4/5 A.M. Core Syn. P.M. have not decided yet I guess I am going into a recovery week. The extra round on the resistance days is going undetected for now and seems to be having a positive affect with my strength. I mixed it in with ARX. I think I am going th do some different upper body sets during this upcoming week. Some different things like multiple angle chest flys and bench presses. I will see how it goes. |

4/5 P.M. ARX, 2.5 miles on treadmill, Pre-Exhaust Chest Workout I saw in a fitness Mag
It is intended to get more out of a chest workout by doing different styles of bench dumbell flyes first then move on to flat, incline and decline presses. Overall it was a good workout and I can see how it would help to increase your strength. This gets back to your arms giving out before your chest. It seemed to work,I felt it more in my chest towards the end of the workout. |

That is the way I have been doing my chest too (during phase 3). I personally think Tony is kind of off base by tri-setting chest, shoulders and triceps. From my lifting days (pre-exhaustion is a very old and sound principle of lifting), I used to do all the chest lifting first, then the shoulders and lastly the triceps. Triceps and shoulders are smaller muscle groups than chest. You arms will give out before your chest gets the full benefit of the chest workout when done the way P90X is designed.
Chest and Back on the other hand can be supersetted because one does not affect the other. During my second round of P90X I will change my schedule up accordingly. |

What other than flyes would be good to include in the pre-exhausting workout? I wouldn't say tony is off base. It is just a different way to do things. It may be a better to go with a Chest and Legs and then do shoulders and tri's and then back and bi's. Thanks for the input. I am just trying to mix things up a little and add some more variety where I can.
