To give an idea of where I came from -- this was not too long ago, 2 months BP (Before P90X) -- that's how I mark time now.

I was about 245 - 250 and miserable.

And now Week 5 of Round 2 -- after a couple months hiatus in between with injury and some bad habits -- I feel great, can literally runs miles and am healthier than I was 20 years ago!

Love this forum, makes the X so much more bearable.

Week 6 done, still going strong. Tweaking nutrition a bit, following Holy Grail meal timing/tapering/cycling from Tom Venuto -- a guy I did great with on his earlier programs. Nutrition is spot on with a couple cheats over the last 40+ days. Looking forward to day 60 pictures, I can spot differences in the mirror while lifting that I hope begin to pop as fat sheds further. Wife thinks I am packing on some muscle along with the fat burn, which would be a huge bonus.

Developed a problem in my right knee that extends to my lower back. Feels like the sciatic nerve and it feels like it's stemming from a knee strain/injury and not sourced from my back. I skipped plyo yesterday, not running this week and using lots of ice till it feels better. Doesnt feel like a bad injury, but I want to baby it so it doesnt bring me to a screeching halt with further strain.

I must say I am actually enjoying this second round of P90X more than my first time through. Not sure why -- could be that my body is more capable of handling it this time, not as much struggle with a weak core, etc, as the first time. At any rate, I am still here and still pushing play!

I am now into Phase 3 and doing ok. Motivation is waning a bit due to lack of physical changes over the past couple weeks and the fact that I now stopped running. We've all been there, I know mentally that it happens and to push through it and I will. Isn't it odd how you KNOW it's ok but you simply can't convince yourself? Sometimes feels hypocritical because I tell others to push through it and it will pay off, then when it comes down to doing that myself I find it very hard to take my own advice!

Anyway, I stopped running due to my right knee/leg issue and it seems to be healing. I will re-introduce running slowly after a couple weeks off. Strength gains are still good and I feel strong and healthy. Played basketball the other day and felt better than I have since my high school days.

Weight is pretty steady, daily weigh-ins vary between 210 and 214. Day 1 they varied between 215-219 so I figure I have dropped about 4 pounds. Iliac pinch is down to 11mm now(started at 19mm), which is like a 5% drop in body fat since day 1, so happy with that. Numbers are so funny because that would work out to 12 pounds of fat loss with only a 4 pound weight drop, so would indicate I gained 8 pounds of muscle, which I dont really believe. So my measurements are probably off a bit -- either way I think I gained a bit of muscle and lost some fat, so regardless of calculations and numbers I am overall happy so far.

Couple weeks left now!

Hit Week 2 of Phase 3 this week. Completed Chest, Shoulders and Tris on Monday, Plyo yesterday and get to do my new favorite Back & Biceps later today. Looking forward to it.

Yesterday was rough. I made the mistake (newbie move by a 'veteran') of doing Plyo early in the morning without any food prior. Wow, that basically messed up my entire day yesterday, I never really recovered and ended up taking a 15 minute nap at 2pm and asleep by 10pm! Definitely not typical and not something I will ever repeat. I just dont know how some of you do these workouts early in the morning. I can't eat that early, and doing it while fasted from sleep messed me up badly!

Anyway, I feel great today and am shaking the bars of my cage waiting for P90X time.
