Arms this morning, did alot better than last week. I am really sore becuase I went from using 10 lb bands to 40 on day one. I also have been pushing myself for more pushups and going further on all exercises. My husband watched the core-syn video and he says it looks really hard. You guys tell me the story on that. Just interested in what ya'lls thoughts are.

I did the core-syn video for the 2nd time today (I am in week 4, Phase I). It is really hard for me, much harder than any other dvd so far. I have lower back issues and I hate the core-syn video right now. I have a really hard time with the banana. It kills my lower back. Unlike the ab video that I both hate & love, I do not love core-syn right now. I am going to try to do it about once a week, since my lower back is my weak area. I think the dvd will really help me overcome my back problems.

Core syn was hard for me at first as well. I had to skip a couple of the exercises the first time at it. Once you get some strength around the core though, they will come into focus.

I was able to do with entire routine this AM and it was hard, but I did it. (I am in week 8, day 5). Prison Cell push-ups hurt the most for me. The jumping the feet to the hands really jerks the lower back for me.

Keep bringing it.

I always dread "Sore Core" but after about 20 minutes, I'm really into it! It's a killer for sure, and you'll be sore and sweaty, but you'll also be happy!

Hey Jody,

I have lower back problems as well = I have a bulging disc that has been causing me problems for years. Core is tough but like what lskarp stated, it gets easier later on down the road. I can tell you I believe my back is a lot better now since I've built up my stomach and lost weight.

Everything in the program is tough at first - This is how you lose weight and develop muscles. If it wasn't tough, you won't see any results .

Just wait until Phase II - Bring on the soreness. hehe

Don't worry, that's why you have the recovery week for.
it's only 3 weeks of soreness.

Thanks everyone!! I absolutley hate Yoga, I like everything but that. I know it is key but it is boring to me. I am energetic and this gets really old after about 30 minutes. I know I have to get my mind right and do it but I hate it, especially at 4:30 in the morning...this is when we do p90x.

While I am here as we go into phase 2, in the meal planner it says to eat oatmeal alsot. Problem......... I HATE IT...what can I substitute for this nastiness? I like grits being a southern chick, could I do that?

LOL, yea, i hear you.

I had oatmeal for about a week then I just couldn't eat it anymore.
I started to eat Special K cereal in stead.

grit is good, go easy on the butter and sugar. wait that's my problem

anyway grit is a good if you make it yourself

fortunately I love me some oatmeal but i'm stuck on maple as any other flavor doesn't get touched.
