Day 16 - Cardio X

Did this instead of Plyo to save knee...hopefully by week 5 I will be able to start doing Plyo again.

Cardio X is really fun. You start off with some Yoga, then some Kenpo, then some Plyo and finish off with Core Syn. Time went by super quick and I worked up a good sweat.

Day 17 - Shoulders & Arms

Increased weight and kept same reps around 10-12 since last week. Concentrated on form which made this my most intense and difficult workout yet...felt awesome!

ARX was again concentrating on form and had the deepest burn yet. Did 70 Mason Twists at end.

Feels good to see and feel results.

Let's both shoot for a long term goal of 100 Mason Twists

Day 18 - Yoga X

I am really starting to enjoy Yoga. Always feel wiped after. Flexibility is getting a lot better. The Crane move is intense...held on for maybe 15 seconds

Day 19 - Legs & Back

I usually workout @ 5:30 in the morning but we had friends stay over night and they sleep downstairs right beside my gym so had to wait to workout in the afternoon. This was the first time I hadn't workout in the morning and I felt I had more energy.
I was able to bring it hard maybe to hard. Really got deep in my squats and lunges and my hams and glutes have been in fire for a couple days. But I did notice a little bit higher energy levels in the afternoon.
Oh yeah I also increased my unassissted pull ups.

Day 20 - Rest Day

Legs were stiff and sore from yesterday so I took my rest day here.

Day 21 - ARX & Kenpo X

Started off this morning with ARX again concentrating on form and going deep into the abs. Did every rep and with proper form(big difference from day 1) and also did 90 M. Twists.

Kenpo was really intense...again I used the weighted gloves and brought it up again to the next level. I was sweating like a pig after this one. Getting rid of all that goo!!!

Monday Nov 3 I move into my first recovery week and start off with Yoga X. I cant believe I am close to day 30 already.

Re:SixLug Daily Log 1 Year, 4 Months ago Karma: 0
i joined this site last night after doing kenpox, i begin week 3 phase 2 on monday, i have not any results to be honest, i've been doing teh results religiously, giving it my all, but i'm not gonna give up, ive read some people dont see results after phase 2 etc, but still it's kinda annoying. i would like some diet tips from u guys, like what dou u guys eat in a day, my story is a bit diff, i was around 210 when i was all 16. started the gym. stuck to my diet, did alot of spinn, tae bo, aerobics, weight training, got so good at spinn i was winning competitions, i came down to 110. still no six pack. now i'm around 150 152. i'm 5'5. and 22. my trainer took me off all the cardio and had me lifitng weights and all that, wanted me to bulk up a bit, to be honest i don't like it, the belly fat is still there, i started the p90x having fun with it. i'm the kind of person to following things through to the end and not cut corners. but i'm not seeing any results man. sigh.. also i ordered the p90x pull up bar, assembeled but need to make some adjustments ot door frame so it can work. but in teh mean time i've just been doing bent over rows variations in high reps when their doing pull ups, i know it's not teh same but it's something. And do you guys have days where u look bloated? i honestly feel as though i've fallen off the wagon, i use to be so fit and look fit as well even though i had a little tummy i obsessed over i was still smaller. ah yes. lets hope i see some results with this thing.

juju

Diet is the most important and most difficult part of this program if you want that six pack.
Hopefully you have the Nutrition Plan booklet in which it lays everything out for you. If you do not have it try to download it or find it from an other source.
Only other advice I can tell you from not knowing what your diet is, is to stay with the workouts and bring it with intensity that you have been already. If diet changes to get the proper amount and kinds of foods you could start seeing results.

For me so far I have lost about 5 pounds but I have gained muscle. My pants to not feel as tight.

An example of my daily diet with one week left of fat-shedder phase:

Workout - followed by Recovery Shake with Whey Protein

Breakfast
6 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 1 slice of deli no-fat chicken, salsa, cheese, 1 cup V Low Sodium, 1 cup skim milk

Snack
Whey Protein Shake, apple

Lunch
Either fish or chicken with salad or mixed veggies
1/2 w.wheat pita, cottage cheese

Snack
1/2 Protein Bar, Whey Protein Shake

Supper
Either shrimp or chicken or any lean meat with mixed veggies or salad
sweet potatoe or 1/2 w.wheat pita

1hr. before Bedtime
Casein Protein Shake

Water for day 1.5 Gallons
Total calories around 2000-2200

Hopefully this helps but you should try to get the Nutrition Guide.

First day of Recovery Week started off with Yoga which I do really like. Held Crane longer again

Day 23 - Core Synergistics

Congratulations on reaching the recovery week. core syn. is fun indeed, i love the stacked push-ups and the prison cell push-ups...just awesome.

So you're up to 100 M twists, huh, looks like that'll be my new goal...way to push others to do better. I did do 70 the last time around, so i'll have to bring it to reach 100.

Day 24 - Kenpo X

Good workout again. Using the weighted gloves really helps with intensity even when doing the jumping jacks. I highly recommend the gloves if you feel Kenpo is not giving you the workout your looking for.

Day 25 - X Stretch

Nice relaxing stretch...just what the doctor ordered

Day 26 - Core Syn.

I love this one. Yes Skinny the Stacked push-ups and prison cell push-ups are crazy. How about the plank to chuttarunga run...intense.

I can't believe day 30 is just around the corner. Looking forward to moving into Phase Two on Monday.

End of Phase 1 Recovery Week

Finished week nicely with Yoga X and was able to do the whole workout since I didn't have to get ready for work and time went by really quick.

Phase 2

Day 29 - Chest, Shoulders, Triceps

I was very excited this morning to get into some resistance moves again after the recovery week. Always fun to slide a new DVD that I have not worked out to...this routine is awesome, intense, fun and a killer. So many different moves I have never seen or tried before...like one-armed push ups, I maybe did 4 with good form, crazy stuff.

Day 30 pics coming soon...

Yeah I kind of made a boo boo, I mistakenly read the Phase 2 portion and started Day 29 with Biceps, lol... So now 30th will be my Chest Shoulders and Tri's, shouldn't be much of a problem... Really excited to start this portion, 2 more months to go!

Day 30 - Plyometrics

Was finally able to do the plyo workout again now that my knee is back to 100%...and what a workout. Felt the burn on this one and sweating the goo out. Took some pictures will try to post soon.

Day 31 - Back & Biceps

Again new workout for me and lots of different moves for the arms and back. That concept of muscle confusion really shown here. Kind of tweaked my mid back doing the Supermans towards the end...need some message or chiro.

Day 32 - Yoga

I am really loving yoga. Know that I know what I'm doing I find that I fast forward alot. I still do all the moves but just skip the chapters to next move. I don't need to listen to Tony explain every move all the time. Probably shaved 10 min off the 90 min video.

Day 33 - Legs & Back

Still sore in the mid back so wasn't able to do as many pull-ups and I resorted to the bands for the last rotation of pull-ups. But I brought it during the legs, went deep and hard.
Also did 100 M.Twists...short term goal complete...150 next???ouch

Day 34 - Kenpo X

I am enjoying this workout more and more everytime. Wore the gloves again and again I recommend them.
Went to my Chiropractor yesterday also to fix the mid-back spasms and that seemed to work...feeling much better.

Day 35 - Rest Day

Didn't do the stretch today but did some yardwork. Empting and lifting that wheel barrel in to big garbage canisters seemed easier. I guess am getting stronger. Also went for a 45min. run walk in the evening.

Day 36 - Chest, Shoulders & Triceps

I "Brought It" this morning...increasing with more reps and sometimes moving up in weight with less reps from last week. I love all the different varieties of pushups.

ARX was great...did every rep with good deep concentration and form. Again 100 M.Twists...That HURT!!!

Day 37 - Plyo

Started off good but knee flared up again...arrrgh. Very frustrated but slipped in the Cardio X and finished off with Yoga and Kenpo portions. Not as good of a workout but did something to get at least 45 min in.

Day 38 - back & Biceps

Back feels better from last week so I increased everything. More reps and sometimes more weight. Felt great with good pump after. I'm liking all the different moves they show us for biceps and the back.

ARX - felt great...good form...110 M.twists ...that hurt!!!

Day 39 - Yoga X

I really enjoy the Yoga workout. The feeling I have after is very lifting and gets me thru the day. Always look forward to Yoga.

Day 40 - Legs and Back

My best Legs and Back workout so far. Did 54 unassisted pull-ups total and 50 assisted compared to 18 unassisted the first week. I have a great sense of accomplishment and can't wait to see how many pull-ups I can do by the end. Also went hard and deep on the legs. Knee and back felt great...knock on wood.

ARX was tough again. Concentrating on proper form for every rep.
115 M.Twists at the end...good way to finish off one of my best workouts ever.

Day 41 - Kenpo X

Have I mentioned to try the weighted gloves...Oh yeah I have. The gloves help me "Bring It" everytime for this workout. Even during the breaks, doing the jumping and X jacks are tough with the gloves.

Day 42 - Stretch X

Did the Stretch today...wasn't going to but I did it and I sure was glad I did. I felt so good after with a total body buzz after.
Also went for a easy hike with the family...very easy with a 6 month pregnant wife and a 4 year-old. Nice day.

Day 43 - Chest, Shoulders & Arms

Felt good this morning and was able to increase some weight and reps. Now I will not see this workout for 3 weeks...I look forward to doing it again in week 10.

ARX was tough this morning. Didn't feel as strong as previous times but still finished with 120 M.Twists.

Later and Thanks for looking

Day 44 - Plyo

Got about 3/4 of the way thru this time then knee hurt again. I maybe pushed to hard keeping up with Dominique on the video. I think I will just have to stick to the Cardio X instead of Plyo for now, so I can fully heal the knee. Bummer because I love the intensity of this workout.

Day 45 - Back & Biceps

Hit the half way mark for this first round P90X today. The first half has gone by really quick and I look forward to second half to see where this program can take my body.
The workout was good this morning adding additional reps for all exercises...I need some additional heavier dumbells, Xmas is coming I guess I know what I want now. But good pump after again.

ARX - felt better and stronger then last time and instead of doing over 100 M.Twists I used a 10 pound dumbell and did the 50 with the group...that was intense. I found it was hard to keep the same pace as Tony but still did the 50 a little slower. You should give it a try for a hard finish to your workout.

Day - 46 Yoga X

Another great Yoga session. Didn't have to use my push-up stand as much for support. I could touch the floor on some of the moves were I usually need some extra reach.

Day - 47 Legs and Back

Did 70 unassisted pull-ups an increase from 54 last week. But I didn't feel as strong in the legs this week.

ARX - Tried the 10 pound dumbell again for the M.Twists and I liked it...did 60

Day 48 - Kenpo X

Good sweat again. Getting rid of the goo. My 4 year old son was right in there this morning with me throwing punches and kicks. He kept cracking me up as I was trying to concentrate...made for a fun workout.

That's one of my goals, to be a good role model. To my son, my wife, my family and friends. Seeing my son trying to follow the guys on the TV and doing some of the moves gave me a good feeling. We all eat better as a family, even my son doesn't crave or really want any more junk food. A friend with whom I work with is going to buy the program this weekend after he could see the results that I've been having. I look forward to coaching him thru the program. I hope along the way that more of my friends and family will jump on the P90X way of life.
