P90X Journey to crazy fitness 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0  
Ok so I started day 1 on a Tuesday because it was extremely hot in my house on Monday. I figured it would be better to start Tuesday than wait another week, I wanted to get it done, and the sooner you start the sooner you finish. Doing Classic because I prefer the videos in it instead of lean.

I did some videos last week to work out the kinks so the official day 1 I already noticed improvements in my pushups I figured I would start with 10 "man" pushups then go to my knees until the timer was up. I did that and surpassed it during some of the pushups which made me happy. I use resistance bands and a door stop to replace the pullups. I also already notice more tone and strength in my arms.

I got my boyfriend to download the videos and he started on Monday. When I called him last night he was doing plyo and gasping so this made me scared to try it because he is a marathon runner. I did however try it this morning and was quite impressed with my ability to get through most of the video and to do the jumping with little modification. I did however stop the video 15 minutes before it was finished because my legs just didn't want to do what my brain was telling them to do.

Every time I get through a video and know I did my best I feel successful.

Sounds like you're doing great and are actually in pretty good shape already. Most girls I know can't do 10 regular pushups, not to mention keep going with knee ones afterwards. Congrats! I'm sure you'll be very happy with the results after phase I, not to mention after 90 days! Keep it up!

Good to hear your bf's doing the videos too, that should motivate both of you and make it a little funner as well.

So this past weekend I had to go out of town for a business trip so I had to sacrifice doing the legs and back routine and also the kempo. I had to wake up early and had ridiculously long days. I did however try my best to eat clean with the odd glass of wine....

This week (week 2) I am going to redeem myself. I started on Monday like a normal person with chest and back and abs. I was able for the first time to get through the whole DVD without my arm giving in on me. The abs is coming along well, I have seen improvements in my abilities to do the exercises.

Yesterday I did plyo, but I skipped the bonus round. I felt like throwing up a couple of times but kept with it, I just took 60 second breaks sometimes. I did it with my boyfriend so this helped with the motivation because I certainly didn't feel like doing plyo.

Shoulders and arms yet to go today, its not so bad....

So earlier today I had a headach, was tired, and absolutely zero motivation to do arms. BUUTT... I did it anyways. Once I was half way through I was feeling much better and pushed more than I had the previous week.

Ok, so could it be that I am becoming addicted to p90x?

Its strange, every time after a workout, I have A LOT more energy...(except after plyo then Im done).

Working out makes people feel better and more energized afterwards, it's physical, chemical and psychological. I feel the same way, sometimes I really don't feel like getting out of bed and doing the routines, but I push myself up and once I'm doing them or done with them I feel great!

Is your boyfriend still doing it with you?

I got mine to do it with me and it is always fun to have another partner. They Plyo I felt kicked us both in the butt hehe.

He is still doing it with me and is very committed to it so that helps push me to keep up. We did plyo the other night together and it went by faster than if I was alone. He also got his cousin doing it with him on some nights. He talks all of the time about p90x and quotes Tony all of the time...I think he has a man crush on him

Yesterday was legs and back. I must say, this is my favorite video because you wake up the next day and it hurts in all the right places!

Did kempo today also, its so fun and I was so energized! When im doing it, I pretend im a ninja and im kicking someone's a**!

Monday was chest an back which I didn't want to do. Actually, I have been so sore lately that I never seem to feel like doing the p90x but I have noticed improvements in the quantity of my pushups.

Tuesday....I had cheer tryouts which was very much like a p90x workout with jumping, stunting, and dancing. I moved my body in various ways that I have not for a while and OUCH! im so sore....

Yesterday was the shoulders and arms in the morning but I did not have time to do abs.

Today is supposed to be yoga but Im going to do xstretch instead because I can hardly move and I really want to be able to do the legs and back tomorrow.

Seriously, will the soreness ever go away?!?!!

Today was core synergistics and I felt like I did when I first did plyo, I felt like throwing up! I did it first thing this morning though before eating so that may be why.

Ohhh p90x, I hate it and I love it.

I would have to say that core is my favorite workout. It has a lil bit of everything in it.
Are you doing lean, classics or doubles

I'm doing classics, but I love it because my arms are actually getting smaller and has more muscle density. Acually, my whole body has slimmed down a bit. classic deffinetly won't turn you into a muscle bound woman (unless you take testosterone or steroids).

So I have started month 2 and I am on the plyo day. The recovery week was nice but I could only handle one day of yoga, I must say, i HATE the yoga!!

Anyhow, I like the results I have had so far p90x has become a habit that I can't get through my day without it which is awesome. I have decided im going to do 2 rounds of it just to see how lean my body can get.
