This is going to be a long week.

I was struggling by the second exercise (chair dips) i usually do 35 before i start feeling the burn. today at exactly 20 my tris were on fire by the time i got to 30 i was screaming, thankfully I was the only one in the room.

At least tomorrow i got Plyo that's always fun.

I must say Plyo is my favorite workout. it falls on Sunday when they are fewer people in the weight room at the Gym. I'm a morning person, so i wake up energized.

I finally got the question i've been waiting for. "what are you training for?" just so I could say "nothing just doing Plyo from P90X."
while I'm sweating like crazy and my Heart rate is around 170

Plyo scares me to death! I’m doing the Lean program so it’s not ‘required’ but my goal is to add it in most likely in phase 2, hopefully I’ll be a little more prepared for it by then!

Keep up the great work!

Thank you!

there is a lot of jumping in this exercise but Plyo is something to look forward to. you'll definitely sweat it out.

Another day, another entry.

the Hour lost was very much felt, even for a morning person like me. I was snoozing like crazy.

today was a Back and Biceps day and I had an Ipod incident. for some strange reason my Ipod didn't charge up. which I found out as soon as I got to the gym.
Thankfully I did all but 3 exercises before my battery died.

I did Ab Ripper from memory which is fine but without Tony's coaching I stopped short with the hope of redoing it tonight and that's not likely to happen

Day FIFTY !!!!! Week 8 (rest week)
The end is in sight, or should I say the beginning. Just got done with my long lost friend Core Synergistics, boy how I missed it. I love every single exercise in this video, "I hate it, But I love it". Very surprised at the jump in the weight from the first rest week when I was using 10 and 15 lbs, and now I am at 25 and 30's, where did that come from?
These rest weeks come just at the right time, You find yourself just starting to hate the building weeks by week three, and then boom, things change again.
Looking forward to sweating the rest of the week !

Day 50, congratulations
I just completed day 38 today.

the recovery week was great indeed although Yoga is not something I look forward to.I hear you on the increased strength. last week was my 1st week of phase 2, and I kept switching weight for underestimating my strength.

Re:My P90X Journal 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 2
Thank you

as with everything we do, a certain level of commitment is needed to achieve success. but having a support system makes it easy. In my case i have 2. There is my beautiful wife who doesn't do P90x but we both go to the same gym where she does her own thing, I doubt she ever will ever want to do it although i hope that she picks up the DVDs or ask me to upload them to her ipod to bring it to the gym, and my other support system is this board where a level of accountability serves as a weightless pressure (it works). I wasn't going to do Yoga today but thinking of my journal I decided to do some before getting on the treadmill.

When I look back and see how far I have come in this program,(and how much I have left to go) it does not seem like it has been that long. I really have come to love what I am doing, both with my lifestyle change, and my body changes.
This is a great forum to help us along, and becuase I know you guys and gals are out there working your butts off, it keeps me honset and motivated to stay out there too.
We all have off days, and days when we dont want to hear Tony's voice, but just like a trainer at a gym, he pushes you when you don't want to be pushed, and at the end of it, your so glad your finished, that there is a great sense of accomplishment.
We all joined this program because of one reason or another, but most joined because we couldnt take our shirt off at the beach, or couldnt fit into that two piece bikini you bought last summer. Sticking to this program can help, will help, and does help. No matter what, keep pushing play !
I look forward to watching you all progress, and will help in any way I can, but most importantly, your helping me along too.

You guys are really inspiring today! I’m really thankful that I have found this board at the beginning of my journey, because like was mentioned it’s that support system and knowing that you want to check in on how every one else’s workout went as well as knowing that your update is expected too! So thanks to everyone!

Re:My P90X Journal 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 3
Didn't get a chance to get in here yesterday, so here it goes. DAY 51 down Week 8 day 2. Kenpo Day, I can't figure out which one I like more, Kenpo or Sore Core. The sweat just pours off when I am doing these two workouts, I love it.
Just got done with my daily weigh in, and I am down 22 pounds. Started at 225, current weight: 203, and what a difference in waiste size, all my pants/shorts are started to sag, great feeling but not so much when i'm hikin my pants up every 10 sec. Iguess there could be worse things. Guess that means it is time to go shopping !
Maybe I'll wait a little longer, as I can really tell a difference from week 7 to 8, that things might change really drastically over the next 4/5 weeks. They say that most of the gains/losses occur during the last half of the program, so I will put that to the test.
Today, I get Yoga, shooting for Crane and Wheel for entire move, wish me luck, I'm gonna need it.

I have to say the P90X on the IPOD was an awesome idea. I have everything I need without wasting any money on equipment.

I do think I should at least get the bands for the weekends if I want to change my routine a little.

I got Kenpo tomorrow that should be fun.
Wait til the end of the program and treat yourself to some "new me" clothes

Good luck with Yoga "the Crane is sculpture which you body envelops to perfection grasshopper" I'm trying to go for some zen motivation here; let me if it works, I might try it on myself, I really need to get better at Yoga

Ack, I can't wait to do Yoga tomorrow! Will be my first time.

And the bands... Are awesome, I feel they are more effective than weights if you use them correctly. But don't buy no cheapo ones! Get the high end bands, I've had the same set since I was 12... well my mom has anyways..

I think it worked...Thanks. Held Crane and Wheel for entire session and even got brave enough to do leg lifts during, WOW. The one balance move that gets me every time is the half moon and twisting half moon, almost fall out every time. I now try to do that move as a stretch before every workout, I WILL GET IT BEFORE I AM DONE.
Day 52 down, Week 8 Day 3. Now I'm ready for some more Core n Kenpo See you tomorrow, this Happy Baby is headed for bed.

Day 53 Down in the books baby. Core was brutal, got 25 Sphinx, and 25 Reach High and Under. I think my absolute favorite is the lungekickbackcurlpress though. Time to go get some fooooood, getting a little shaky.
