Man, Legs + Back is killer. I sweat BUCKETS during the workout.

My diet was kinda messed today since I unexpectedly spent about 4 hours with a friend and didn't eat.

I had a setback this week due to the fact I had the Stomach Flu for Thursday Friday and Saturday. I am going to re-do Week 3 instead of moving onto recovery week because I missed those workouts and didn't eat for three days.

Are most of you on recovery week this week. Mine is next week and wanted to get the heads up on that. This morning was my plyo day. And getting up at 5AM to do this is hard but once after the warm up I'm ready to go. It starts off my day good and I get to come and know I have already done my workout for the day.

I love having it done for the day, that way if you have an exceptionally rough work day, or anything that could sideline you, Poof, you are already done.

Plus sometimes you can sneak in an extra workout. We will Kayak or find something else active to do in the evening, so either way its a win.

Disclaimer: I am not saying working out at night is bad, m'kay. Just don't want to be misunderstood. Workout whenever it works for you. I just like a smug feeling of 'HA DID IT' when I strut about the rest of the day lol :-D

I woke up this morning at 5:30 and did one hour of the yoga. I couldn't fit in the extra 30mins. Afterwards I did feel like taking a nap as I was so relaxed. But now I'm fully energized. Wonder if it will be ok to do extra cardio this evening like the treadmill or something. Tomorrow is my leg workout and I really do enjoy this one, Sat Kenpo and I like this one too. Now next week I don't know the recovery is yet as I haven't seen the dvds yet. Have a great day.

Got my leg and back workout done first thing this morning. I woke up starving for some reason. I do eat every 3 hours on the clock. Now the wknds are harder for me to eat for some reason on schedule. When it should be easier. Tomorrow is my kenpo day and afterwards I show off my skills to my husband on the real punching bag we have. He's impressed when I show him "grab him, kick him" or the sword hammer move. I feel I can kick some real butt literally. LOL. Ok I have to go search for recovery work workouts now as I don't see anyone posting as much. HOpe everyone is still BRINGINT IT!

Mary,

Still bringing it. I post mostly on my blog at this point. Feel free to check it out. Honestly the recoveyr week has me feeling lazy lol. I feel like I need to work my arms. Had to miss one day so I switched my x-stretch day. I have core tonight which was killer the first time. Keep bringing it

Really need some encouragement, guys. I missed Core Synergistics AND Kenpo this week and have been eating horrendously. Combined with the kenpo I missed from my trip, I've only missed three workouts in what is now the end of my fourth week. It's not the end of the world, but I was really on a roll last week and I need to get back on it. The weekend really thorough me off rhythm and I've had some life issues come up that have me in a pretty depressed state. I've always been an emotional eater, and I need to overcome it. I don't want to start over or re-do a week because I think that might be mentally discouraging. I'd rather see if I can right the ship. I think if I make it to the finish line, I'll learn from my mistakes and correct them by doing the program again.

I'm going to do Yoga tomorrow and make up a Kenpo Sunday before getting on with Week 5!

Keep it up tothetop. I have also slacked off a bit, but don't let it get you down. Just catch up with what you can and get back on track Monday. I skipped core yesterday, didn't do stretch x on thursday and am on track to miss yoga today. What I decided is I am going to try and do Core later today and get Yoga in tomorrow. Stretch X i think is overall skippable if you need to, but I don't try and make it a habit to get out of the routine, just happens. I have been so tired lately and dealing with some pain in my back which has left me a bit discouraged about working out.

Sorry you are having some personal issues, but try to use the program as a way to relax your mind some and get back in the groove. I know it's hard, but try your best and keep at it.

I feel like P90x is a program where even if you slack off a bit, you are still going to see results. The workouts are probably like 10x as intense as the workouts some friends of mine are getting when they goto the gym 3x a week, so even if you are just going through the motions and getting it in, you should see some results.

Keep pushing play

Re:Log for those of us starting on 6/29/09 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I can be the same way. It can be hard to get back on track. I ate out twice this week and missed both days of X stretch. However, I managed to also get two 30 minute sessions on the treadmill. I gained 0.2 lbs this week. Had I really focused on diet and not doing the dvd's out of order I probably would have lost some weight.

Here's how I look at it for myself. I have a lot of weight to lose. One round of P90x isn't going to solve my problems. I can't think of 90 days in a row any time of year that I would be able to completely devote to P90x. That being said, get back on track. Push Play and keep going. So you missed a few. The question is do you want to miss a lot or just a few. I went' from no excercise to 6.5 hours a week with Yoga. So I can't think less of myself if I manage only 3 hours one week. Not my goal and so far I have done them all (except X stretch), but getting in the right frame of mind is key.

This is my recovery week and started off with Yoga this morning. I have yet to complete the whole session. I do an hour to hour and 15mins and that's it. This morning I was sweating though. I popped in the Core Syn workout to get a peek and honestly I rather much do this that yoga of course I haven't completed it yet so that's easier said than done. Looking forward to this week to pass quickly. I have a family reunion this wknd but I don't tend to slack off.

I was pushed back a week due to the stomach flu, So I am also on recovery week this week for phase I. I too began eating horribly after the flu but still got in my workouts. I can't wait to finish recovery week and get into Phase II.

Woke up this morning at 5:30 and did the Core Syn workout. Now this one had me huffing and puffing and I did sweat! I'm not a big sweater for some reason I do run out of breath all the time but never have been much a sweater. I think I need water pills or something LOL. But this morning I was sweating!!!! This was a challenge but doable expect for the dreya roll I decided there was no way I could do that. But maybe when I do it again this week I can do one!

Keep it up everyone.

I did the Chest, Triceps, Shoulders workout yesterday and all the new pushups were quite challenging. I need to work on those.

Skipped Plyo this morning but will be trying to fit it in late tonight. Nothing like some plyo before bed.

Looking good! Keep it up! I am slacking on doing my measurements / pics. Hopefully I will get them done tonight so I can see some progress.

I have been having a tough time lately keeping up with the workouts. I had a really busy Tuesday and didn't get to Plyo until 11 PM and I was wiped out. I did about 1/3 of it and then just turned it off cause I was out of gas. I think I am going to try and redo it this weekend.

I need to get back in the groove of doing the workouts in the AM. Trying to do them at night just doesn't seem to work for me since I don't have the energy.

I have also decided I am going to switch Yoga and Kenpo. Getting Yoga done on Sat. is much easier than trying to fit it in Thursday with work.

Im on my 3rd day of recovery!! whoo hoo!! I really do enjoy Kenpo. I think I can actually kick some real butt at times LOL. I do all my workouts at 5AM and it really helps me to start of the day. I love coming home after work and just chillaxing!! I know some do it in the evenings but I have to much traffic with my kiddos coming thru and I don't like nobody seeing me!!

dnbrdy - I'm looking foward to the chest triceps something different. I just hope not doing pushups this week won't make me weaker. Plyo in the evening will kick your butt and you will sleep like a baby I bet.

Midwestdad- your blog is so informative!! Thanks for posting the pics and you can see your progress!!!! And you have lost alot of weight in a short amount of time!!
