Missed Yoga X yesterday (I suck), but just had a pretty solid legs and back workout. I am kind of having a tough time on my knees with all the lunges. Does anyone know an easier on your knees way to do that kind of stuff?

Legs was out of control today. I got a couple of my friends in on it and we were really pushing each other. I had a fantastic eating day and I can barely walk. I feel like a million bucks.

Ready to rock Kenpo tomorrow!

I love the leg and back routine, Probably because I never really focused on my legs before. Keep it up everyone

I kinda hate the leg and back routine. I did a lot of leg work in HS and some in college for sports, but that was like 8-10 years ago and now my knees are kind of sore when I do the lunge type stuff. It kind of turns into a slackfest cause my legs can't bend as well as the peeps in the DVD.

Kenpo today went well. Really great cardio workout.

Eating is going alright, but not great.

Any visible results yet for you guys?

I've lost about an inch of my waist and my gut has been slowly disappearing. I have been doing doubles, though.

I haven't seen much of a muscle gain outside of my arms.

I've definitely noted some improvement. I feel like my gut is definitely shrinking, and my legs and arms are starting to tone up.

The better you eat, the faster results will be. It's amazing how much progress you can make in just a week if you follow this program and be a nutritional zealot. As tony says, "I know it's hard. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE!". Why bust your butt in these workouts and then blow it by eating nasty, greasy food? When you do the workout, have a healthy meal with lean meat and vegetables, NOTHING can stop you from getting the body you want. NOTHING. Do it right, it feels so empowering. I say this having had my share of mistakes 2 weeks in. But I always feel like crap. I always want better results faster. I want to look great before 90 days is up! That's the attitude we all need. We can't wait for the 90th day and expect some miracle change. We have to go hard like the program is over next week!

Don't slow down guys, pick it up! BRING IT!

Man I couldn't believe it today. This is the first time I can remember where I can truthfully say I felt distinguishably stronger from a previous workout. I felt like a beast during chest & back today. I wasn't anywhere near Tony, and I still took my breaks, but I am doing so much better already. I really think it has a lot to do with me starting to take the diet end of it more seriously.

Awesome, man. I just feel great. I hope everyone else is still pushing play!

That Rocks, Week 1 I felt like a wimp, week 2 I felt I was giving it my all. On the last leg back day I was surprised how many more pull-ups I could do in just two weeks, I went from 3-4 to 7-8. I just changed schedules at work and it will alter when I work out, but in two weeks I have lost 5 pounds and two inches off my stomach and waist. 1 inch off my thighs. Let's see how many people can have a perfect week this week, it is our last week before recovery week so we all need to Bring It.

I felt good after chest and back today. Definitely was pounding out more than usual and I can see improvements. Not looking forward to plyo tomorrow, but we will see what happens!

About to go make some pork chops and spinach for dinner. Keep pushing play everyone!

How much do you guys sweat during Chest and Back?

I find myself barely sweating even though I'm basically going until failure on every set. I sweat buckets on Legs and Back but not Chest and Back even though I find C&B harder

My Heart rate on Chest and back stays in the low end of the zone, and I don't sweat much either even though I am working hard. Legs and Back Shoulders and arms is a different story, I sweat buckets.

Whew, Plyo was tough today. Not that that's anything new, I just kind of expected it to be a little easier by now. I quickly found it that I should've done X Stretch on Sunday because my legs were still a little exhausted from legs & back on Friday! I survived through and it felt great. I've already had a few people mention that I look thinner and my arms and legs are definitely responding. I cannot imagine I'll look like by day 30...let alone 90!

Keep pushing play guys, recovery week is just around the corner!

You should really look into buying some joint formula. I bought some from Wal-Mart for about 20 bucks and I've definitely noticed a decrease in inflammation and pain. I banged my right knee about a year ago and it still hasn't healed entirely and will flare up from time to time (as in, when doing PLYO! Ouch.) So I bought some joint formula and use Icy hot on it nightly. I also take an ibuprofen before I start plyo or legs. Also try rubbing your knees as part of your stretching. Really dig in and try and loosen it up. Plyo can be really rough on the knees, but the benefits are huge so it's worth a little routine maintenence on our knees!

Hey everyone, I'm officially starting the program on Monday. If anyone else is starting the program then, post in this thread and we can help each other!

I've always been a good natural athlete, but just general laziness and terrible eating habits have always held me back. Now it's getting to the point where I'm starting to feel a decline in athletic performance. I really want to tap my potential and see what I could do on the basketball court if I took care of my body. I want to see the look on my girlfriend's face when I finally break through this wall of not being able to eat right and workout consistently.

My biggest weakness is diet. I might not be in the best of shape, but when I workout, I put in a true 110% effort. But immediately after, I'm tempted to grab a mountain dew! I know what the right things are to eat, and I always feel better when I do, but I need to plan better and I need a support system to keep me from my tendency of crashing & burning (aka running to taco bell @ midnight or later because I didn't eat enough earlier in the day).

My pre-p90x measurements & pictures will be up this weekend, maybe tomorrow.

I'm really excited to BRING IT!

Patrick

oh dude, seems that we are same guy, i was also natural lazy athlete, but now going fatter and fatter........ouch

You all giving up on me?! Come on! I want to hear what's going on!

Shoulders & arms was tough Wednesday, I'm really feeling the effects of 3 weeks of heavy training. My body is just pooped. I actually did Yoga all the way through Thursday which was a first, I think I'm actually going to enjoy it! It's a challenge, but it's very relaxing.

I'm going out of town today and tomorrow, so I'm going to push my legs & back workout to sunday and replace kenpo with some kind of cardio. I'm going to be moving around a lot more in general so the loss should be minimal. Then, RECOVERY WEEK! Woohoo!

I missed Yoga again yesterday...it's really hard to fit that workout into my schedule unfortunately.

I will be doing Legs and Back later. Arms went well on Wednesday (probably my favorite workout because I can feel the results happening). I think the chest and back is helping my arms out a bit too, specifically triceps.

I have a trip coming up in 3 weeks so I'm not sure if I am going to just take a few days off and get excercise those days (it's an outside type vacation so I imagine I'll be excercising) or just take the bands and the book and try to stick to it.
Keep it up everyone!

Minor set back yesterday as the whole family, myself included had the stomach flu. No strength or motivation to exercise. My strength is still down today seeing how I didn't eat for 24 hours. I will wait till later to try the legs and back.

Hi all. I have been lurking for 2wks now and trying to fit in somewhere. I started P90X on July 6 and I haven't found anyone logging in past 3days. So I found you all and really impressed you are still posting so I though this is where I belong even though I'm a week behind you guys.
I am a 43 year old female who has been working out for some time now. I work out so much but I have seen no results and have commited to this p90x for accountability. I log everything I eat and keep my calendar of my workouts.
I am on my 2nd week and tomorrow is my 6th day. I have enjoyed all the exercises but the yoga is my weakness as it's long and boring at times. I work out at 5AM so that could be it. I'm so sleepy during this session. But I'm still doing it. Today I did my legs and back and tomrw Kenpo which I enjoy too. Now the ABX is hard but I'm still trying to bring it. Hope to get to know some of you.

Mary

Sorry to say that this past week has been half-assed, especially after a terrible week before. I did manage to get chest and back done both weeks, but the previous week I did not watch my diet well enough, and this week I only completed up to plyo (need to do abs, arms, shoulders, legs, back... oy).

Slipping behind, but still determined. Pounds definitely lost, probably due to really intense first week and diet. I am totally inspired by those who keep on posting-- keep it up!

I managed to fit in some make-up workouts (a run here, some beach time there) to keep above-sedentary; but I gotta still do my P90X.

On another note-- I caught a bus by sprinting just now, and jesus was I fast. Plyo kicking in? I felt like superman!
