Week 1
Day 1 (Monday - June 09) . Day 01
Chest & Back + Ab Ripper
My first day of P90X this morning and it went pretty well. I finished the full Chest & Back workout and it was pretty intense. I still didn't get my new pull-up bar or my creatine supplements, so things should be better when those get in. I used too little of a weight for the weight workouts and so will be sure to up that next time. The pushups went well, but they were brutal the second time around, specially the diamond ones. Pull-ups and chin-ups were harder. Didn't manage to do very many of them, might think of using a chair for support to get in more reps next time. My chest already feels a little sore however, only 2 hours after working out.
It was really hot today and I didn't eat before the workout due to it being early in the morning. I didn't finish the Ab Ripper since I started having troubles breathing through the thick humid 30 degree Celsius heat. Had troubles eating a full breakfast too since the heat is killing my appetite. It should get cooler in a couple of days though, so we'll see. I'll be going to the gym tonight to get in some cardio and do my ab workout due to not being able to finish it this morning.
Somewhat happy with the results. I'll be sure to up my weight and push harder next time. I also have to start taking that creatine and my protein shake.
Day 2 (Tuesday - June 10) . Day 02
Plyometrics
Second day today. Yesterday morning was pretty brutal with the Chest & Back + Ab Ripper. It was really hot so I didn't even get to finish the Ab Ripper since I started having troubles breathing through the thick humid air (I should really get AC...). Anyway, I caught up last night by going to the gym and doing some cardio and ab work for an hour or so.
One word described me this morning: SORE. I did Plyometrics anyway, and it seemed to get better as the workout went on. It was pretty tireing and I sweat like a madman. Managed to do the whole workout though and kept up with them on the tape. The cold shower afterwards was amazing! Needless to say I didn't take the stairs for the five floors up when I got to work like I usually do. The elevator was my best friend this morning. Feeling good about the workouts and hope that I stay motivated long enough to finish the full 90 days.
Day 3 (Wednesday - June 11) . Day 03
N/A - Rest Day
I didn't manage to get my workout in today for the Shoulders & Arms + Ab ripper since something came up this morning. I'm a little frustrated by it since I was going good and woke up early and motivated for the workout. Anyway, I have a rest day on Sunday so I guess I'll just substitute that day for today. I'll do my Shoulders & Arms + Ab Ripper workout tomorrow, and push the other workouts back by a day as well. That way I won't have a rest day on Sunday, but at least I'll have caught up with everything. Hope tomorrow goes better and nothing else comes up. We'll see!
Day 4 (Thursday - June 12) . Day 04
Shoulders & Arms + Ab Ripper
So I didn't get to do my day 3 workout (shoulders & arms + ab ripper) yesterday morning due to some stuff coming up unexpectedly, but I figured I would push back all my workouts by a day for this week and use yesterday as my rest day instead of Sunday. This morning I did the Shoulders and Arms workout and it was pretty intense. I had some little adjustments to make to figure out the right weight to use on my exercises, so the weights and reps changed a little from round 1 to 2, but now I know what to use for next time. My arms and shoulders were burning and are now sore, so I know the workout worked well.
I also managed to do the ab ripper workout right after my shoulder and arm one. It was pretty harsh, but I got through the whole thing. I took 3 or 4 five second breaks during the routine, but I'm pretty happy with how it went in all. Hopefully I'll be able to do the whole workout non-stop real soon. Today went really well I think and tomorrow I get to experience Yoga X for the first time. It's a longer workout, so maybe I'll have to get up a few minutes earlier than usual. We'll see.
I also took my protein shake after the workout today. It tastes aweful, but I just mix it with half a glass of water, plug my nose and try to down it as fast as possible.
Day 5 (Friday - June 13) . Day 05
Yoga
Well the shoulders, triceps and neck are burning like hell because of yesterdays workout, so that's a good feeling. My abs aren't doing half bad either. I woke up this morning and was ready for another workout. I did the first hour of Yoga and then had to cut it short due to having to go to work. It's a long workout, so I guess I'll get up half an hour earlier next time for it.
Honestly, I didn't like the workout at all, but I hear that a lot of people say that the first time around and then get better at it and start liking it more as the weeks go on, so I'm far from giving up on it! I didn't find it very relaxing at all, and actually found it quite annoying doing the same moves over and over again for the first 40 minutes.. Anyway, some of those poses are pretty intense on the legs and what not. That crane pose I can't even get off the floor, but hopefully it'll come with time. One thing I found frustrating was that it was hard to follow the moves when you're looking down or upside down. I guess since it's my first time I'll get to know the moves and not have to watch the screen so much next time. All in all it was okay, but could definitely have been better. Looking forward to tomorrow.
Day 6 (Saturday - June 14) . Day 06
Legs & Back + Ab Ripper
Well did the legs and back this morning and it was pretty intense. I broke my left arm a few years back so I can't hold a heavy weight straight down with it for a long period of time. This makes so that I can't really do all the exercises, such as lunges and what not, with a weight. Regardless, I'm not aiming at sculpting my legs too too much since they're already in pretty good shape having played soccer since the age of 6. The exercises are still pretty hard even without the weight and most of them don't require one. I have bands as well if ever I decide to add more resistance.
The chin-ups are always hard, and I decided to use a chair to help me with my reps. It makes it so that I can do more of them, but maybe I'll go back to not using it and just trying them straight up. I know I'll get better at them.
Once again I did the whole ab ripper routine after my workout, however with a couple of five second breaks. I'll be ripping through it soon I'm sure! I also had my protein shake after the workout and even went to the gym a little later to get some cardio in and a little more ab work.
Day 7 (Sunday - June 15) . Day 07
Kenpo
Kenpo was a lot of fun! I really loved this routine and it seemed to go by really quickly. It's fun and dynamic. By the time the workout's over you're sweating like mad, breathing heavy and you barely realized it. It went by really well and I'm already really happy with the results I'm getting from the P90X routine. Can't wait for tomorrow!
Week 2
Day 1 (Monday - June 16) . Day 08
Chest & Back + Ab Ripper
So I started my second week today with another Chest and Back plus Ab ripper routine. It went pretty well and I already see an improvement from my last week's logs. I pushed myself harder and it was easier to pick out the right weights since it was my second week doing it. I went through the whole routine, and for the pull-ups what I decided to do was do as many as I could without a chair, and then put my leg up when I couldn't do any more and push out as many as I could with the leg up. I think that's the way I'll do them from now on.
Other than that, my legs and butt are still sore from last week's workouts. I did the whole ab ripper routine again, but am still taking a couple of breaks which I hope to get rid of soon! Happy with the results so far. My food intake this weekend was a little off because of father's day and the euro cup, but I'm not too worried about it. I took my protein shake this morning and a couple of creatine supplements that I'll be taking from now on. We'll see how it goes!!
Day 2 (Tuesday - June 17) . Day 09
Plyometrics
It was time for Plyometrics again today and it went very well. I really like the workout, and although I still prefer Kenpo, it goes by pretty quickly. I pushed myself even harder than last week and managed to finish the whole routine again. I was sweating and breathing like crazy, but the cold shower afterwards was definitely worth it. I even managed to walk up the 5 floors when I got to work. The back and arms are a little sore from yesterday, so I'm happy about that. The legs are feeling the burn too and even still from last week!
Day 3 (Wednesday - June 18) . Day 10
Shoulders & Arms + Ab Ripper
Did the Shoulders & Arms workout this morning and it went even better than last week due to the fact that I knew which weights to use for which exercises now. I really like this routine, my arms, tris and shoulders are burning already and it's only been 2 hours since I did the workout. Nice to feel that the routines are working! Everything went really well and I got to do the ab ripper right afterwards as well. Did the whole thing, still took a couple of 5 second breaks. Things are going really well so far, keeping with the healthy food, drinking a lot of water (4 to 5 litres a day), and liking the results that I see already and it's only been 10 days!
Tomorrow's Yoga again. Not really looking forward to it. I disliked it last week and didn't get to finish since I had to go to work. I'll be getting up earlier tomorrow so that I can have plenty of time to go through the whole routine. Hopefully I'll get to liking it soon. It's just those downward dogs over and over for the first 40 minutes that really get annoying to me. Anyway, we'll see! Cheers!
Day 4 (Thursday - June 19) . Day 11
Yoga
Got up a little earlier today, 5:45 am, to have the time to finish the Yoga routine this week since last week I ran out of time and had to cut it short to get to work. I really didn't like Yoga the first time around, but I'm happy to say that today was a lot better. I dimmed the lights a little, made sure to relax more than last week, and I think just knowing that I was going to be doing the downward dog so much for the first 40 minutes made it better. Last week I was just wondering when it would end and it got annoying. I'm still struggling with some of the poses, that whole segment with the "flying through the air" thing is really harsh on the leg muscles. The crane I still can't do, but I'm getting a little more adventurous with it. So all in all it wasn't bad and I'm really happy that I'm loathing Yoga less already the second time around. Day 5 (Friday - June 20) . Day 12
Legs & Back + Ab Ripper
Well today was Legs and Back. I did the whole workout and am still struggling on the pull-ups, but am getting better I think. I'm really liking the results of the workout so far and am happy that I am staying motivated and on track. My legs are burning after today's routine and the 5 floors of stairs when I got to work were quite a bit harder to do than usual. Ab ripper went well as always, and I'm still taking a couple of little breaks. Those scissors are really brutal. Anyway, I'm sure I'll be ripping through the workout real soon! Day 6 (Saturday - June 21) . Day 13
Kenpo
Love this workout and it went as great as the first time. It's fun and dynamic and the time just flies by. Broke a hell of a sweat and was breathing heavy well before the end. Went through the whole routine and loved it. I even went to the gym a little later and did some more cardio and some ab workout. All in all a good day!
Day 7 (Sunday - June 22) . Day 14
Stretch
First time doing the X Stretch routine since last week I subbed my "rest day" for a day where I missed my workout. All in all it went pretty well. Some of those moves really aren't just stretching, but it went well. Hopefully I'm doing everything right. Looking forward to tomorrow and starting my 3rd week already!!
Week 3
Day 1 (Monday - June 23) . Day 15
Chest & Back + Ab Ripper
Already in my 3rd week! Chest and back went really well today. I can already see my reps going up from week to week on my log sheet. Feels good. I'm liking my results already and this workout was quite a bit of fun. Did the whole thing and the ab ripper right after as well. Again for ab ripper I'm taking a break in the fifer scissors routine, it really kills me. The hip raises are pretty harsh too. All in all a good day! Looking forward to tomorrow! I am loving these workouts!!
Day 2 (Tuesday - June 24) . Day 16
Plyometrics
Had a day off from work today so I got to sleep in a little. I went to the gym last night and did some cardio and ab work. Felt good. This morning I went through the Plyo workout and loved it. I seem to like it more and more every week. It's going by faster and faster and to see how drenched my shirt is at the end of the routine just makes me happy. Great set, good day, even took a 2 hour walk later on. Happy with the workouts.
Day 3 (Wednesday - June 25) . Day 17
Shoulders & Arms + Ab Ripper
Well, car broke down this weekend so I had to get a ride to work today which meant that I had to get up extra early to get my workout in. So got up around 5:20am and did my routine. I'm really amazed at how motivated I am so far. I've tried other workouts and routines before, but I never managed to finish them fully. Not to say that this has been my longest one, but it is the only one that I've been getting up early before an 8 hour day of work to do. Anyway, the workout went well as always. I'm pushing harder and it's great to see my reps slowly but steadily increasing. Ab ripper went really well too, and I can see that I'm getting stronger there as well. Taking less and shorter breaks. Down to just two breaks of about 3 to 5 seconds each. I'll be ripping through it soon!! Yoga tomorrow, my least favorite workout, but I'll hang in there and pull it through! Cheers!
Day 4 (Thursday - June 26) . Day 18
Yoga
Yoga again today. I almost decided to skip the workout today and do it on Sunday instead since it was gloomy outside and I really didn't want to get out of bed. That's the issue for me with Yoga, I don't feel as motivated to do it as the other workouts. I managed to get that out of my head though and got out of bed. This is not the time to start slacking off!! Anyway, I dimmed the lights again, relaxed and went through the whole routine. It's going better every week and I'm disliking it less and less. The crane is still not going as well as it could and I'm taking a little rest at those "crescent moons" or whatever they're called since my legs are burning like crazy. I feel stronger and more flexible already though and the poses are getting easier. Sweat was literally falling off my face today, so I'm happy with how the workout went. Looking forward to tomorrow!
Day 5 (Friday - June 27) . Day 19
Legs & Back + Ab Ripper
Not my favorite of workouts, but still not too bad. I did the Legs and Back routine this morning and it went well. I'm still having trouble on pull-ups, but it's getting better slowly but surely. Managing to see my reps going up from week to week. I also did the ab ripper right after my legs and back routine and I am proud to say that I went through the whole thing without a single break! Did all the moves at their more advanced versions (hands up, legs crossed, no grab on the leg climbs) and managed to get all the moves done with no breaks. Really happy with that and loving the workouts so far. I can feel that I'm getting stronger. Kenpo tomorrow! Love that workout. Cheers!
Day 6 (Saturday - June 28) . Day 20

Well, I didn't do Kenpo today and I'm kind of bummed about it. My girlfriend got up early and so we decided to go to the gym this morning and I got quite a bit of cardio in. Anyway, it went well and I'm sure I burned quite a bit of calories, but I like Kenpo and I don't like to skip workouts. Anyway, I'll make sure to get back on track! I doubt I'll do the X Stretch or Kenpo tomorrow since I'll be using it as a rest day, having had a long Saturday night.
Day 7 (Sunday - June 29) . Day 21

Long day yesterday and a late night. I took today off and opted not to do the X Stretch routine. I'm going to take today as a rest day. Haven't gotten too much sleep this weekend since things have been quite busy.
Week 4
Day 1 (Monday - June 30) . Day 22
N/A - Rest Day
Woke up today for my Yoga workout and I just couldn't get out of bed. I didn't get much sleep this weekend so I chose to stay in bed and catch up on it. I'd rather be ready for the workouts this week than be behind on my sleep and be tired all week. Not too happy about missing a workout today, but I'll make up for it tomorrow. I'll be getting back on track tomorrow with my first Core Synergistics routine. I can't believe I'm already in week 4! Gotta start getting back into the groove after a somewhat disappointing weekend workout-wise.
Day 2 (Tuesday - July 01) . Day 23
Core Synergistics
Back on track today! I did my first ever Core Synergistics workout and it was quite a bit of fun. I enjoyed it and broke a hell of a sweat. I had to look up for some of the moves to make sure I was doing them right, but next time I'll make sure to push even harder. Great workout. Looking forward to tomorrow! Kenpo's my favorite routine.
Day 3 (Wednesday - July 02) . Day 24
Kenpo
Had a day off work yesterday so went to the beach with my girlfriend. Really enjoyed it. This morning I got up bright and early and was that much more motivated to workout. Kenpo's so much fun and passes by really quickly. First time doing the workout during the week before work, and I wish all the routines would have me as pumped as Kenpo does. Great workout, broke a huge sweat and loving the results so far. Tomorrow's X Stretch so it'll be a little less harsh. Looking forward to the rest. Can't wait for Phase 2!
Day 4 (Thursday - July 03) . Day 25
Stretch
Did my X Stretch routine today. It was gloomy and raining outside, but I still managed to get out of bed and get my "workout" in this morning. It was a nice break from the cardio and the stretches felt really nice. I can see that I'm getting more flexible and am really happy with that. Looking forward to tomorrow! Might go to the gym tonight and get some cardio in though.
Day 5 (Friday - July 04) . Day 26
Core Synergistics
Well, my second time doing Core Synergistics and it went well. It's a pretty good workout and I was sweating loads even way before the end. Sweat was just falling off my face and I love it. Tomorrow is Yoga, so I'll be getting up earlier to do that one. My least favorite workout, but I missed it on Monday so I'm definitely not skipping it again. Looking forward to Phase 2!
Day 6 (Saturday - July 05) . Day 27
Yoga
Yesterday went really well workout-wise and I even went for a jog in the evening. Today was Yoga and to tell the truth, it really wasn't bad at all. The workout's getting better every time I do it. I'm even doing better on the crane. Liking the results so far, Phase 2 on Monday!
Day 7 (Sunday - July 06) . Day 28
NA - Rest Day
Today I'm supposed to do the X Stretch routine, but I went to the beach yesterday and got a pretty bad sunburn. My shoulder muscles are pretty tense because of it, so I'll opt not to do the routine to make sure I don't get injured. I'll do a few stretches on my own and maybe go for a walk later on today. Tomorrow's Phase 2! Looking forward to it!
Week 5
Day 1 (Monday - July 07) . Day 29
Chest, Shoulders & Triceps + Ab Ripper
Well, didn't do the X Stretch yesterday due to that sunburn, but I did do some stretches of my own and took a walk during the day. This morning was feeling much better and did my first workout of Phase 2! Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. The routine went well, although it was my first time doing it so I had to adjust some of the weights and watch them do some of the moves, but it'll be much better next week. I broke a hell of a sweat and my muscles are feeling the results of that workout. Those 1 arm pushups are freakin' impossible! Anyway, did the Ab Ripper routine right afterwards and I'm still doing it with no breaks and all the advanced versions of the moves. Very happy with that and loving that I'm back into the weight routines after that "rest" week. Looking forward to tomorrow and the day after!
Day 2 (Tuesday - July 08) . Day 30
Plyometrics
A third of the way there! Did plyo today and it was pretty brutal. It was hot and humid so I was sweating like crazy. My shirt was white and by the end of the workout it was see-through and drenched in sweat. My abs, chest and triceps are pretty sore from yesterday's workout, it's been a while since I felt that. Loving it. Makes me know that the muscles are working. Loving the workouts, looking forward to my first Back & Biceps routine.
Day 3 (Wednesday - July 09) . Day 31
Back & Biceps + Ab Ripper
My chest, triceps and abs are still really sore from Monday's workout. This muscle confusion thing really seems to work with soreness. Anyhoo, had my first Back and Biceps workout today, and man oh man my biceps have not had a pump like that in a LONG time, if ever! I'm still having some trouble with the chin-ups and pullups, and even think I lost a couple of reps from two weeks ago, but that might have just been my state of mind this morning. I'll make sure to push harder next time. As I said, it was my first time doing the routine so I had to adjust for some of the weights and watch them do some of the moves. Next week will be much better! I also did the whole Ab Ripper routine with no breaks again, even though my abs were super sore even before the workout. Sweat like crazy, it was really hot today. Cheers!
Day 4 (Thursday - July 10) . Day 32

Well, I stayed at my girlfriend's house last night, so I didn't get to do my Yoga X routine this morning. Kind of bummed about it, but I'll make sure to stay motivated and keep at it with the workouts. Maybe I'll go to the gym tonight and try and make up for it. Biceps are still pretty sore from yesterday's workout and they were pumped almost all day. Feels good to know that the routines are working!
Day 5 (Friday - July 11) . Day 33
Legs & Back + Ab Ripper
Didn't go to the gym finally yesterday, but did some stretching and took a long walk to try and make up for Yoga. Anyway, today was the Legs and Back routine and it went pretty well. I made sure that I was in the right frame of mind prior to the workout and I managed to up all of my chinup and pullup reps. Pretty happy about that. Ab ripper went well too, still doing the whole thing with no breaks. It's getting easier and easier, so maybe I'll have to start adding to it soon enough! We'll see! Those heels to the heavens are still pretty brutal though. My biceps are still somewhat sore from the Back and Biceps workout from a few days ago. Liking the results, almost done with week 5!
Day 6 (Saturday - July 12) . Day 34
N/A - Cardio
Stayed over at my girlfriend's place again so I didn't get to do Kenpo this morning. We did however get up together and went through two of her Turbo Jam routines. Broke a pretty good sweat, but it was pretty much a less intense version of Kenpo. Didn't manage to go to the gym as we spent the day at the beach, but we took a good two hour walk later at night. All in all, not a bad day.
Day 7 (Sunday - July 13) . Day 35

Had to get quite a bit of studying done today for my summer class, so didn't manage to get the X Stretch routine in or go to the gym. My legs are a little sore from Friday's workout still. Kind of bummed about cutting or subbing on a few routines, but I'll get back on track real soon!
Week 6
Day 1 (Monday - July 14) . Day 36

Stayed over at my girlfriend's place again since her parents are still out of town until tonight. Didn't manage to get my workout in this morning, but I'll just use it as my rest day for this week and push everything back by a day. I'll be back on track and ripping it up tomorrow! Looking forward to it after a relaxed weekend workout-wise.
Day 2 (Tuesday - July 15) . Day 37
Chest, Shoulders & Triceps + Ab Ripper
Back on track today after a somewhat slow weekend workout-wise! Felt good to get an intense workout in. I completed the whole routine and the ab ripper as well. Managed to up my reps on almost every exercise and even did some extra reps during the ab ripper routine. Those one-armed pushups are still almost impossible. Can't wait to get better at them! Happy with the results and happy that I'm back to it. All my workouts were shifted by a day this week. Looking forward to plyo tomorrow!
Day 3 (Wednesday - July 16) . Day 38
Plyometrics
I'm still sore from yesterday's workout, but this morning was Plyometrics again. I really like this routine as it has me breathing and sweating like crazy. I could take my shirt and ring it out after the workout how drenched it is. Pushed hard and was dead tired by the end of the hour. Felt good to break such a sweat and the shower felt great afterwards. Looking forward to tomorrow for another round of Back and Biceps!
Day 4 (Thursday - July 17) . Day 39
Back & Biceps + Ab Ripper
Still somewhat sore from Monday's workout in the shoulders and triceps. Today was Back and Biceps and it went pretty well. I really like this routine as it works the biceps a hell of a lot. I got a really good pump out of it again this week. My pullups and chinups seem weaker in this routine, I'm not sure if it's my mindset or whether it's because my biceps are more tired. My guess would be a combination of both. Anyway, I'm happy with how it went. Ab ripper went well as usual, still doing the whole routine without any breaks and even adding in some reps here and there. Broke a good sweat and had a good workout.
Day 5 (Friday - July 18) . Day 40

Well, once again stayed over at my girlfriends place so I didn't get to do the Yoga X routine this morning. I'm really kind of bummed that I've been missing X Stretch and Yoga so often lately, it's just been a couple of hectic weeks with her parents on trips plus school and work, but I'm going to make it a point to get back on track tomorrow and try and not miss anymore workouts. Day 6 (Saturday - July 19) . Day 41
Legs & Back + Ab Ripper
Back on track and loving it! I did the Legs and Back workout this morning and it went really well. I'm still not using much or any weight on the leg exercises due to my left hand having problems holding weight straight down for a long period of time ever since I broke it a few years ago. Anyway, I'll probably start using my resistance bands to make up for it next week or in Phase 3. Other than that, I managed to up my reps on all my pullups and chinups, which I'm very happy with. Ab ripper went well as always, still ripping through it. Those heels to the heavens are brutal though. Looking forward to Kenpo tomorrow, my favorite workout and I haven't done it in a while. Cheers!
Day 7 (Sunday - July 20) . Day 42
Kenpo
Kenpo finally today. I feel like I haven't done this workout in a while and it went great! Really missed it. It's fun and goes by quickly, but has me sweating like crazy. My glutes are still sore from yesterday's workout. I also took a long walk around noon and then spent most of the afternoon doing some work on my back porch, lifting bricks and heavy bags. Broke a good sweat there too. My shoulders are a little sore from all the carrying. Good day all in all. Starting week 7 tomorrow!
Week 7
Day 1 (Monday - July 21) . Day 43
Chest, Shoulders & Triceps + Ab Ripper
Started week 7 today. Did the Chest, Shoulders and Triceps routine. It went well, my shoulders are still a little sore from yesterday's yard work and my glutes are still sore from Saturday's workout. Managed to up my reps on quite a few exercises. Those one-handed pushups are still killing me, can't wait to get real good at them! Looking forward to Plyo tomorrow. Day 2 (Tuesday - July 22) . Day 44
Plyometrics
Legs are still sore from Saturday and chest is sore from yesterday. I didn't get much sleep last night, which more than likely didn't help my recovery much, so I'm not too thrilled about that. My schedule is pretty hectic this summer with both school and full time work. Anyway, Plyometrics went well this morning. I started off a little slow due to being somewhat groggy from the little amount of sleep and the fact that it was grey and raining outside, but after a few minutes I got into it pretty good. My shirt was drenched and the workout felt great. Looking forward to tomorrow's Back and Biceps!
Day 3 (Wednesday - July 23) . Day 45
Back & Biceps + Ab Ripper
Half way done! I wasn't super motivated this morning to do my workout, but I pushed myself out of bed and got to it anyway. I'm happy that I did and am happy to see that I'm staying dedicated to this routine so far. The workout went well, I believe I could have pushed myself a little harder at times, but I still managed to up my reps on a few exercises. Ab ripper went well as always, and by the time I got around to it I was in a much better frame of mind. Other than that, I took a walk last night and my legs are finally no longer sore from Saturday's workout. Tomorrow's Yoga X. Haven't done it in a while, so we'll see how it goes.

Well, was supposed to do Yoga this morning, but I just couldn't get myself out of bed. The limited sleep I'm getting due to my schedule is creeping up on me I guess. Decided to just catch up on some and push my Yoga routine to Sunday to replace the X Stretch. Not too happy with missing out on a workout and actually regret not pushing myself up and doing it. I seem to be losing some motivation, but I'll make sure to get myself back into it with a good and intense Legs & Back routine tomorrow!
Day 5 (Friday - July 25) . Day 47
Legs & Back + Ab Ripper
It's Friday! Anyway, did my Legs and Back routine this morning and it went really well. I find myself somewhat less motivated when I wake up lately, but I think it's just that it's getting a little darker outside (days are getting shorter) so early in the morning. Pushed myself out of bed today and got the workout done. Managed to up my reps on almost all of my pullups and chinups, so I'm happy about that. Still not using any resistance on the leg exercises, but I'll probably add it in with my bands in Phase 3. Ab ripper went really well as always. I'm still kind of bummed that I missed out on my workout yesterday, but what can you do. I'll make up for it on Sunday. Looking forward to Kenpo tomorrow! Cheers!

Kenpo today and it went well as always. Love the workout. It goes by really fast and I don't even notice how much of a sweat I'm in until the routine is already over with. Spent pretty much the rest of the day studying.

I was going to do the Yoga routine today that I missed on Thursday, but since I will be doing Yoga tomorrow I decided to just take the day off. I took a long walk in the afternoon and tried to enjoy the day apart from some more studying. Tomorrow I start wekk 8 and my 2nd recovery week!

Yoga
My 2nd recovery week already! I haven't done Yoga in a while and am happy that I finally pushed myself out of bed to get it done. The routine went really well and I can see a pretty good improvement in both strength and flexibility since the last time that I did it. Still having some problems with the crane, but it's more of a balance problem now rather than strength. Should be getting it soon enough! I enjoyed the routine this morning and am looking forward to tomorrow! Cheers!

Another round of Core Synergistics today and it went really well. Haven't done the routine since the last recovery week which was about 3 weeks ago and I've improved on most of the exercises, if not all. Broke a hell of a sweat and am looking forward to tomorrow's Kenpo workout!

Kenpo today and it went well as always. It's still probably my favorite workout. Goes by so fast and I break a hell of a sweat while doing it. Almost done with Phase 2 already. Looking forward to tomorrow's X Stretch day. Should feel good!
Day 4 (Thursday - July 31) . Day 53
X Stretch
Well today was a cool down day with just a good 'ol X Stretch routine. It felt good to spend all that time stretching. I don't think I've done the routine for a while and I'm kind of disappointed that I keep skipping on it. Anyway, felt good and I can see that I'm getting more flexible. Spent the rest of the morning taking pictures of my weights and bench that I'm trying to sell to get a new set. Tomorrow is Core Synergistics again.
Day 5 (Friday - August 01) . Day 54

August already! Only a month left to summer... Time flies when you're working full time and taking a summer class. Anyway, the routine went well again this morning. Really broke a hell of a sweat. I literally had drop falling off the tip of my nose. My shoulders are sore or tired from that whole X, plank, chungarunga and walking pushups cycle. Feeling good, liking the workouts and the results. Tomorrow's going to be time for Yoga again! Phase 3 soon!
Day 6 (Saturday - August 02) . Day 55

I didn't do Yoga today because my shoulder and neck are a little sore, plus I didn't really have the time for it. Went to the beach and played some beach voleyball and did some swimming. Took a walk in the evening. All in all a good day. Not too happy about skipping Yoga again, but I also don't want to injure myself.

Shoulder's feeling better but my neck is still somewhat sore. My girfriend stayed over last night so I didn't have the time today to do my X Stretch routine. Not too big of a deal, but I'm not thrilled about the two rest days in a row. Anyway, this ends my recovery week. Phase 3 tomorrow!

Day 1 (Monday - August 04) . Day 57
Chest & Back + Ab Ripper
Haven't done this routine in a while, and it went really well. I enjoyed it a lot and pushed myself hard. Managed to up all my reps by quite a bit since week 3, and it felt nice to see the improvements. I was pretty dead after the routine though. Ab ripper went well as always. It was a little harder today maybe due to the week "off". Looking forward to Plyometrics tomorrow!
Day 2 (Tuesday - August 05) . Day 58
Plyometrics
Today was Plyo again. My chest is really sore from yesterday's workout and my back isn't doing half bad either. Plyo went well as always. The routine goes by pretty quickly now and I don't even realize how drenched in sweat my shirt is. It starts out white and is completely see-through by the end of the hour. I could literally wring out the sweat from it. I love the feeling and the shower afterwards. All in all a good morning. Looking forward to Shoulders and Arms tomorrow, haven't done it in a while.
Day 3 (Wednesday - August 06) . Day 59
Shoulders & Arms + Ab Ripper
Today was Shoulders and Arms. My chest and back are still pretty sore from Monday's workout. Anyway, today went really well and I noticed that my reps or weight went up on all the exercises since the last time that I did them. I also did the Ab Ripper routine the whole way through again. My laptop overheated and shut down half way through, but I know the routine by heart by now and just did the rest myself. That's two days in a row that my laptop does that to me. I'll have to go and get the battery checked out. Yoga tomorrow!
Day 4 (Thursday - August 07) . Day 60
Yoga
2/3 of the way there! Today was Yoga and I did the routine. I'm really kind of bummed that I've missed it so many times over the last 60 days, but what can you do. I'll try and not miss it anymore from here on in. The workout went well. Some of those moves are still pretty hard, especially on the legs. I'm getting much more flexible and stronger. I even managed to hold Crane for quite a good amount of time. Tomorrow's Legs and Back. I'm finally selling my bench and some of my weights tonight to make room for my Power Rack and Olympic weight setup which I'll be getting this weekend. I'll be using this stuff for the Starting Strength routine come September. Looking forward to it! Cheers!

Legs and Back again today and it went well. I managed once again to up my reps on all my chinups and pullups, so I'm happy about that. Ab Ripper went well too. It was a little harder today for some reason, maybe because of the Yoga Belly 7 routine from yesterday. That was pretty harsh. My legs were burning on the way up the stairs when I got to work, so I know the workouts are still doing their thing! Finally sold my bench and weights last night and I should be getting my power rack, bench and olympic weight set on Sunday. Looking forward to Kenpo tomorrow!

Kenpo went well as always today. I broke a good sweat and finished the routine before I knew it. My neck is feeling a little tight again, so hopefully the X Stretch routine will help that you a little tomorrow.

Stretch
Finally doing the X Stretch routine again. It felt really good to just take the time to stretch and relax every muscle. My neck and shoulders are feeling less tense after the routine. I also finally got my power rack, new bench and olympic weight set. Should be ready for the Starting Strength routine come September. Other than that, mostly studying and writing papers this weekend...
Week 10
Day 1 (Monday - August 11) . Day 64

I decided to stay in bed this morning and catch up on some sleep. I was feeling really tired probably due to all the studying this weekend and lack of sleep I've been getting lately. My nose was running all weekend too, so hopefully an extra hour of sleep will help me get back on track this week. I'll be pushing all my workout days back by a day and use today as my rest day. So tomorrow will be the Chest, Shoulders and Triceps routine.
Day 2 (Tuesday - August 12) . Day 65

Took another day off today. I'm feeling a sort of sharp mild pain in my left shoulder when I move it in certain positions so I've decided to let that heal up a little before I go into the Chest, Shoulders and Triceps routine. I think that I slept awkwardly on it. Anyway, the days are getting shorter and it really isn't all that hot out this summer, so my motivation in the morning isn't as high as it used to be. It's still dark out at 6am, so it's getting harder to push myself out of bed so early. I'm definitely going to get back on track tomorrow though!
Day 3 (Wednesday - August 13) . Day 66
Chest, Shoulders & Triceps + Ab Ripper
Finally doing my Monday workout today! My shoulder is feeling 100% and I managed to get my lazy self out of bed this morning. The hardest part is just getting up, once I hit the play button and start the routine, I'm feeling energized and great. Really happy with how the workout went today and that I'm back on track. I definitely don't want to give up this close to the finish line. Managed to up my weight or reps on most of the exercises. I'll most likely be hitting up the gym tonight to do some more cardio and ab work. Finished my summer class, so I have much more free time after work. Tomorrow I'll be doing Plyo. Cheers!

Plyometrics
Plyometrics again today, I can't believe that I'll only be doing this routine another two times and then be done with it! The workout went really well as always, I can really feel how my endurance has gotten a hell of a lot better since the day I started. My shirt was soaked with sweat again and I'm sure I burnt a boat-load of calories. Took a short walk and went to the gym last night and did some running on the treadmills and skip rope, plus a little bit of ab work. My triceps and chest are pretty sore from yesterday's workout. My back was a little sore too last night, these full days of sitting at a desk probably aren't helping that. Looking forward for school to start again in the fall. Tomorrow I'll be doing the Back and Biceps routine, probably one of my favorites.
Day 5 (Friday - August 15) . Day 68
Back & Biceps + Ab Ripper
Today was time for Back and Biceps, one of my favorite workouts of the program. It went really well and I got a hell of a pump in my bi's as usual. I managed to up my weight and reps on most of the exercises, so I'm pretty happy with that. I'm a little disappointed that I missed two days this week, but what can you do. I wanted to hit up the gym tonight, but it's closed due to maintenance. I guess I'll go a few more times next week. Anyway, I'm heading out to Toronto tomorrow morning to visit some family, so I'll try and get in a Kenpo routine before, or maybe I'll finally take a look at what Cardio X has to offer. Cheers!

Well, I was aiming at getting in a round of Kenpo or Cardio X this morning, but my gf stayed over last night and so I didn't get the chance to do my workout before we all left for Toronto. Kind of bummed about not doing the routine, but what can you do. The 6 hour car ride wasn't too much fun, but I manage to keep my diet in check, probably even got more protein than usual in.
Day 7 (Sunday - August 17) . Day 70

In Toronto visiting family, so I don't have the chance of doing any of my workouts here. I did take a walk in the morning, but other than that, just a good long six hour car ride back home. It was good to see the family though, so I can't complain too much. Not a great week workout-wise, but I'll make sure not to miss anymore routines for the next couple of weeks and try and hit up the gym a few times to make up for the lost time.

Chest and Back today for the last time! Can't believe there are only two more weeks of workouts left before my final rest week. Anyway, I wasn't very motivated today again, but I pushed myself to get the workouts done and I'm happy with the results. I managed to up my reps on all the exercises and completed the full Ab Ripper routine again. Ab ripper seemed a little harder today, but I'm not quite sure why. Anyway, I should be going to the gym tonight to make up a little for the somewhat shaky last week workout-wise. Cheers!

Plyo again today and just one more time doing this routine next week and then I won't be seeing it again! Time really flies, I can't believe it's almost been 90 days already. Anyway, the workout went really well today and I broke a hell of a sweat as usual. My chest, triceps and back are still a little sore from yesterday's routine. I didn't get the chance to go to the gym last night, but I might hit it up tonight instead. Workout's are going well, I just have to stay motivated!
Day 3 (Wednesday - August 20) . Day 73
Shoulders & Arms + Ab Ripper
Shoulders and Arms today and I managed to up my weight on most of the exercises. Ab ripper went well too and once again went through the whole routine without too much trouble. I also managed to finally hit up the gym last night and get some more ab work and cardio in, along with some stretching, so that felt good. Going down south on vacation in less than two weeks, so looking forward to seeing what the next few days of the program have to offer. Tomorrow is Yoga X and I aim at not skipping on it this week! Yoga
Yoga X today and I'm happy to say that I didn't skip it this week! Every time I do the routine, I regret all the times that I've missed it or skipped on it. I am definitely getting stronger and more flexible. The whole Half Moon sequence is still a killer, and Yoga Belly 7 works my abs like crazy. Enjoyed the routine today and am looking forward to tomorrow's Legs and Back workout. It should be a rough one since my legs are a little sore from today's Yoga and I will probably be hitting up the gym later tonight to get some more cardio and stretching in. Also took a long walk last night which felt nice. Things are going pretty well, we'll see how they keep up in the upcoming weeks!

I missed this workout last week, but I made sure not to make it two weeks in a row. The routine went well and I managed to up my reps on all of my pullups and chinups. Kenpo again today and it went well as always. I felt less tired at the end of the routine than usual, not sure if it's because I'm in better shape now or if I didn't push myself to the max. Anyway, I broke a hell of a sweat either way and enjoyed the routine. Took a long walk later on in the day too and spent most of the day outside and about.

I decided to sleep in today since I had a long night last night and so skipped on my X Stretch routine again. I did take a walk later in the day and will do some stretching tomorrow night when I hit up the gym. All in all, a pretty good week I would say.

Chest, Shoulders & Triceps + Ab Ripper
My last workout week this week! Already 12 weeks in! It was time for Chest, Shoulders and Triceps today and the workout went really well. I managed to up my reps on most of the exercises and broke a ridiculous sweat by the end of the routine. Ab Ripper went well too, and I am just loving the results of these workouts, especially looking in the mirror right after with the pump. Anyway, I'll probably be hitting up the gym tonight to get some more cardio in and some stretching. I'm leaving on vacation for a week on Saturday, so I'll try and get the most results in by then. Plyo for the last time today! The routine went really well and I broke a hell of a sweat as usual. I went to the gym last night and got quite a bit of cardio and stretching in, along with a little bit of ab work. It made up for my missed X Stretch routine on Sunday. I might be hitting up the gym again tonight too. Only a few more days before I go on vacation, and hopefully that Hurricane Gustav doesn't screw up my plans big time... Back and Biceps again today and for the last time! This is probably my favorite routine of the program and it went really well. I pushed myself hard and managed to up my reps on every exercise. The Ab Ripper routine went well too and it even seemed a little easier than usual today. I managed to hit up the gym last night again, got some cardio and stretching in along with some more ab work. Didn't stay very long because my girlfriend was sore from the day before, but it was still nice to break a sweat. Tomorrow's time for Yoga X!
Day 4 (Thursday - August 28) . Day 81

Was supposed to do Yoga X today, but I decided to skip it again and catch up on my sleep. Not too happy that I missed another workout, but I want to get my rest in for the last couple of days of work and not to be exhausted for my vacation. Took a walk in the afternoon which was nice.
Day 5 (Friday - August 29) . Day 82

Last day before vacation and I decided to skip on my Legs and Back workout since I had a long night last night and some other more personal issues. Anyway, not thrilled about missing another workout, but what can you do. I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow (hopefully), so I'll probably be done with the P90X routine today. It's a few days short of the 90 days, but I've achieved my goals of getting back into shape and firming up. I'll be starting the Starting Strength Rippetoe routine in two weeks after I setup my Power Rack and everything. Looking forward to it. Really enjoyed the whole P90X experience and would definitely recommend it to whomever has the dedication for it. Great program for what it's made for. Cheers!
