well, I started the week off very strong, and then my excuses started to come in.
I started my second job and getting up at 4 am has been really tough.
The My wife and I went to Kentucky this past weekend for her high school reunion.
So technically, I starting at day one again. However, I am still going to post here with you'all.
Very disappointed in myself. sometimes that 4am alarm comes way too soon.

Day 1 Week 2 - Much easier to make it through this time. Knew what was coming so that definitely helped. Was able to pace myself a little better. Still tough but made it.

Completed Chest and back.
This is probably my favorite workout becuase IMO it is easier for me. I've always loved working out with my chest.
Howver, I am not so good with pull-ups. I can only do three unassisted

Yay, Dh worked out with me last night! However, I was on my own at 5am this morning but I worked it out. Today was my first 5am workout and I feel like I've been up FOREVER! *yawn*
Ok, I need help. I'm not gonna be able to do pullups at 5am cause #1, I need my hubbys help and #2 out pullup bar is in our bedroom doorway so I can't used it/wake him up at 5. We do have bands, 5, 10 and 15 but I never feel like they're working. I can do about 5 pullups when dh supports the weight of my legs but I can pull and pull and pull those bands for days without getting tired. Advice?

Hi almostperfect.
When doing pull-ups- do NOT be afraid to use a chair. The chair is your friend.
Is it possible for you to relocate the pull-up bar?

I use a chair to help with pull-ups. My bar is in a door way so it isn't the same as on the video when the bar is 8 feet in the air so my knee is bent but it works.

my legs (and glutes) are still incredibly sore from legs & back. how crazy is that. i had a tough time making it to work (i work in NYC, so walk to train, subway, building, etc)!
for those of you that dont like kempo (i'm not a huge fan either) or dont think its "intense" enough here's a couple suggestions (not that i'm promoting replacing any of the workouts or anything!!!):
1) in my first round, i was replacing it with Plyo. not really recommeneded because of the high impact. so i occasionally replaced it with Core...which seemed to work well.
2) to up the intensity, try some wrist/ankle weights. they do work well. i had one pound wrist weights, and toward the end, my shoulders were on FIRE...
3) OR- you can go for a nice brisk run, for those who are runners.

Well the official weigh in shows me up about 1/2 a pound... BF measurements show I'm down 1% but with a three position caliper test 1% is easily within the margin of error. My diet has been clean and right on target. I've mentioned before that I weigh everyday. Just a habit, but it serves to illustrate that you can't get to freaked out by a disappointing weigh in. Saturday I was 209.4, and Monday I was 212.4 Three weeks ago I was 215. and I started this program at 211.8 I have kept the same diet all along. So I suspect I'm holding some water for some reason... I'll know in a few days time.
The game plan is just keep on keeping on and see what next week holds for me. I'll decide then if any adjustments are in order.
So if you didn't loose a ton of weight don't worry. Keep going. You didn't gain it all in one week and it may just take a bit for your body to begin adjusting.

Drago,
In another week, if the gain continues, you may want to look at your diet and consider adjusting your caloric intake.

Unfortuantly, no. What if like, I lay on the floor, would that maybe increase the tension? IDK what I'm gonna do

Take it for a test run and let us know if it works. As you know, we all love new tips and tricks.

yes and he's a grumpy boss too. I'm gonna work with the bands tomorrow and see how it goes, if not I think I'm gonna "have" to have him put a real bar in our gym. hum ... I wonder if I could somehow work it into the frontroom decor in front of the TV instead....

End of Week 1
The weekend was a nice relaxing change.
Saturday - Kenpo was interesting, I only managed to work up a small sweat... infact I sweated out a LOT more that night out dancing in a club for hours
Sunday - Stretching was ideal for me. This is something I really need, I want to become more flexible. Felt like yoga without the sweat. Nice session.
Week 2 begins
Monday - Chest and Back, and Ab Ripper X. I REALLY struggled to get up out of bed today, little energy. I didn't eat enough over the weekend, I feel like this might be why.
Once I was up though, business as normal

Plyo today. Great workout. Definitely makes you sweat! Then did Ab Ripper X. I have found I have more energy for Ab's on the cardio days.

You need to know your starting weight and %body fat. Here is an example:
200lbs 20% = 160lbs lean body mass 40lbs fat. Then p90x comes along and you bring it and now are 190 and 15% = 161.5lbs lean body mass 28.5lbs fat. so you gained 1.5lbs lean body mass (muscle)and lost 10lbs fat. The only thing is the "fat" could possibly be water weight as well. On the days I weigh and measure It's always when I get up in the morning after I go to the bathroom. Just need to follow the same routine to get somewhat consistent data. I guess tracking all this stuff is what motivates me and I find interesting. Part of being a scientist I guess.

I worked it out and I hate hate hate my numbers now My scale also tell me my water percent, should I figure that in some how?
Also for tomorrow I put all three bands together for a combo of 30 pounds. I'm gonna do a little online shopping and see the max tension you can get in a band.

Chest & Back was amazing today.
I really tried my hardest to maximize the reps on all of the sets.
First round I almost did the 4 sets of pull-ups/chin-ups completely unassisted. (10 reps each)
I'm really not feeling it as much as I should in my abs on the "Ab-Ripper X", however my upper legs are always on FIRE! I feel like I should alter the routine to concentrate more on my abs.
I ate a lot of chicken today which is always a good think, however I am still struggling to find
a low carb/low fat breakfast that I can easily take with me in the car on the way to work. I have been averaging about 300 grams of carbs per day, which I feel is probably twice the recommended amount.
