Re:Anyone starting on the 17th? 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Friday (Legs & Back), was HARD! Upon getting out of bed I my energy levels were stupidly low, enough so I thought I'd pass out by the end of the work out, especially from pullups...
Somehow made it through though. One of my toughest days.

I'm taking today as a rest day, as it's my Cardiff Half Marathon tomorrow.

Phew...rough week. Wife had surgery, started new job, and had to pass a kidney stone. Yikes! So needless to say I will have to repeat this week. I did day one and was able to do two other days of cardio workouts but that was it.

And you all thought I might have dropped out.

Great Job to Everyone Still Bringin' It!!!

Cardiff Half Marathon = CHECK 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Ran Cardiff Half Marathon in 1:43.51. My quads are sore, but have until Plyo on Tuesday to rest my legs.

Back to normal tomorrow. Week 10! and Chest, Shoulders & Tri's is back

Bring it!

Re:Anyone starting on the 17th? 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Week ten. Here we go. Week nine was my worst so far. I missed a few workouts and gave about 50% on a few others. I plan to do that week over but I'm staying on program and I'll add that week back on the end. I worked all weekend. On call 48 hours straight and I was up til midnight last night then out of bed at 5am to begin week ten. My wife says I'm crazy. I say dedicated.

On a positive note I was down to 200 lbs and about 19.5% Bf. So I'm 15 lbs and about 6% bf down from my heaviest.

That's awesome dude! That's an awesome time too! The drummer of my band is training to run a full marathon, but he's not doing P90X yet... I gotta kick him in gear! LOL

thanks Drago, Austin,....
Honestly, I did think I might run it a little faster with that particular race being pretty flat... but oh well.

An Amazon order finally arrived this morning, with TWO sets of body calipers, DOH! Nevertheless, I can now measure my Body Fat % !! I'll post it when I find out.

Oh boy did I enjoy Chest, Shoulders & Tri's today. Such a challenge, plenty of variety, and more importantly NO PULLUPS haha...

Plyo tomorrow morning... here's hoping my legs miraculously become less sore in the next 8-10 hours!

Week 11 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Time to step it up guys! Not long left, time to really bring it

I'm 100% recovered from my 1/2 marathon... tho Plyo last week was tough, not to mention Legs & Back. Time now to start FULL marathon training.

I can't figure out my body calipers, so knowing my body fat % will have to wait lol.

I started using ankles weights (2kg each) during Ab Ripper X... really helped intensify it, now it's like I'm on the first few weeks - which is when I noticed the most gain/difference in my abs.

For those still with us, have you given any thought to what you'll do after this program?
I've looked at p90+, but the schedule makes no sense to me. There's always the possiblity of doing THIS p90x all over again... but I feel it may get monotonous.

I'm going to do a round of insanity after this round of p90x and then pick up p90x+ and do a round of that. That should take me into may. we'll see where i go from there

end of Week 12 4 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Week 12 is almost out! I nearly gave up on Legs & Back today, Ab Ripper X too... this 4 week stretch has been tough. Thankfully rest week can't come quick enough on Monday

Who's still going!?

p.s. I'm almost certainly gonna run through 90 more days of this program again to take me in to February time. Then I'll re-asses again.

Unfortunately I am still on the sidelines. Have not been able to shake my medial shin splints. I have still been doing some upper body but nothing that involves legs, including the warmup sections.

Glad those of you that are still bringing it are doing it. Keep it up!

try this exercise out, it really helped me out when i had them. flex your toes up and hold it for 5 minutes without slacking and really push as hard as you can for the last 30 seconds. do that for about 2 weeks and you should no longer have shin splints
