Day 5
Legs and Back

I think this one is my favorite. I had a problem with calf raises. I was getting cramps the whole time. I got these cramps in the past when I was pregnant. Ugg they really hurt. Not sure what to do about the cramps. Everything else was great! I did so much better on the Ab Ripper X.

Had a very hard time with the meal plan today. I was in and out of schools all day. The kiddos school year is coming to an end so awards days and field days are a big MUST to attend. LOL

Breakfast
Whole Wheat Bread 100
4 Pieces of Ham 70
Egg White Egg Beaters 50
Skim Mozz cheese 1oz 25

Snack
Protein Bar 290
Fruit 60

Lunch
3oz chicken breast 100
Whole Wheat Bread 100

After workout
Recovery drink 200

Dinner
Healthy Choice
Chicken Red Pepper Alfredo 250
V8 50

Plan to drink
1 tbl Flax seed oil 130
100% Casein Protein 110
Might add fresh strawberries or banana 100

Total Calories 1635

Calorie intake sort of high. I am drinking a lot of them. LOL We will see what happens. If I don't see the results I want by day 30 I will be changing a few things.

Day 6 Kenpo
Wow! That one was SUPER fun! I don't know which I like better, Kenpo or Legs and Back. Shoulders and my rear end hurt today. Don't worry it's a good hurt.

Made my 100% Casein Protein + Flax seed oil drink last night. Sean! Kevin! How do you drink that stuff? Uggggg. I drank it, but boy was it hard to get down. LOL I think I might have bought the wrong flavor. My local GNC only had vanilla. I am going to order the banana online. Finishing the vanilla will be hard.

I am thinking about making some bars. Could I use that kind of protein in a homemade protein bar or will that be too much of that kind of protein in my diet? That way I could use that 2 lb tub of vanilla that I am having a hard time drinking into something I might be able to eat? I could eat the bar as a snack between lunch and dinner. Thats the time I start getting really hungry.

Confession time: I've never used the flaxseed oil.

You're right about the casein, though. I usually get the chocolate flavor at GNC. It doesn't taste the best, but I can manage to get it down. I don't know if vanilla or strawberry would be better.

I understand that there's a banana flavor out there. Can't imagine it's too yummy and I'm pretty sure it won't win any awards. The good news is that drinking the prep for a CAT scan would be a breeze!!

Angie....

LOLOLOL...a tough girl like you doing P90x and you can't handle a little flax seed oil?

It doesn't bother me...but I guess after you make your Casein shake you could just add it in there.

If you want to save money...Never, ever Buy stuff at GNC in the walk-in store. I think you could probably get it cheaper through their on line store or even better and cheaper you can find it on line else where.

That Banana cream link I posted is a good price and it takes good.

BTW....the most god awful stuff on the face of the entire earth has got to be liquid trace minerals. I take 39 drops of that stuff after my works outs that I sweat alot on and it's hard to swallow it.

Hi Angie,

Thanks for your support on my log. Thought i'd return the favour.

I agree with the post above about having flax seed with the shake.

I buy this one in the UK. It has flax seed oil mixed in ... and it taste better than normal whey.
http://www.bargain-supplements.co.uk/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=82&products_id=1236

Don't mean to get gross on a lady like yourself ... but the flax seeds have their benefits first thing in the morning when you go to the loo ... think it's a man thing so maybe one for your husband He'll understand me.

Lunch
New York Strip 200
Egg White Eggs Beaters 50
Skim Mozz Chesse 25

Snack
One of my Homemade Protien Bars 270

Dinner
Chicken Breast 100
V8 50
Apple and Peanut Butter 300

Snack
Bar 240

lunch
Chicken Breast 100
Pumpernickle/rye bread 160

snack
Apple and Peanut Butter 200

Dinner
Turkey Burger 100
NUTS 200

Total 1250

Can't till tomorrow! BRING IT!

My head is filled with a lot of trivia. I've read in a couple of places that cold water actually slows down your metabolism. I don't know how much...but I've read it does.

sean, i've read the opposite. cold water drops your internal temperature (very slightly), so your body has to work a little to get it back to normal. the same article also said that the "extra" calories you burn are pretty much negligible.

My husband read the book by Ellington Darden "Flat Abs ASAP" about 3 years ago. He ended up with AWESOME results. In the book Darden wrote about staying cold.

Day 10
Arms and Shoulders

I doubled all the weight today and probably should have added more. Arms were burning so thats good. I feel wonderful! Not looking forward to Yoga X tomorrow.

I got to work out with dear old hubby today. I think I like it better than working out by myself. I see him doing another rep and I hafta do another one too. He is lifting more weight but as long as I can keep up with the reps, I feel prety good. We are very competitive.

Great work Angie, keep it up.

I tend to drink cold water anyway, but not ice cold. I find the water here gets warmer over the summer months.

What do you do to get it ice cold. Just refill bottles and stick them in the fridge?
