TOPIC: My daily log - Now in Round 2

Re:My daily log 3 years, 1 month ago #13825

Day 83:
Kenpo Day...I walked 2 miles during the day and did Kenpo when I got home from work. Like always, I tried to keep the pulse up by constantly moving while Tony talks, then hit the treadmill for another 20 minutes.

Day 84:
Rest Day.... I walked 2 miles during the day and had my friday night volleyball league. I am really liking adding this exercise to what I have been doing in P90X. Just adds to the muscle confusion. I can really tell how much the Plyo has helped me, I can jump much higher now than before I started P90X and I can jump and jump and jump without getting tired.. I then headed to the bar for a night of working the front door, so needless to say I got home very late.

Day 85:
Core Cynergetics...I know this going to be Yoga day, but decided to switch days since I was dragging butt from the late night. I thought Core cynergetics would wake me up:). I did that workout in the morning after breakfast, by the way there are some good pushup exercises in this workout. I walked 3 miles on the treadmill in the evening.

Day 86:
Yoga Day...I walked 4 miles today and did Yoga in the evening followed by ab ripper. Just thought that I would through in some extra ab work. Not much to say about Yoga at this point, kind of getting bored with it.

By the way my 8 year old son has been hitting the chinup bar some more and is doing 9 close grip chinups now, his goal is 15. He tries every day. He is autistic and sometimes autistic kids get stuck doing something over and over and over. This just happens to be his thing right now.

4 More Days!!!

Day 87 - Day 90

Kenpo Day..Kenpo Day...I walked 2 miles during the day and did Kenpo when I got home from work. Like always, I tried to keep the pulse up by constantly moving while Tony talks, then hit the treadmill for another 20 minutes.

Rest Day...which is a travel day for me. I managed to get 2 miles of walking in before I traveled and then at the hotel I got in 3 miles on their treadmill. I also did the ab ripper workout for some extra work.

Core Cynergetics Day...I walked 2 miles early in the morning before heading off to work on the road. When I got back to the hotel I did core cynergetics and then 1 mile on the hotel treadmill followed by time in the hottub.

Yoga...Last day of P90X complete!! Not much else to say, but that I made it!!

This has been a long journey to complete P90X, it is a huge commitment. If you have been reading my daily log, it sounded easy, but it really was not. It does take some motivation to hit play everyday. There were days I just didn't feel like it, but went to the basement and hit play. Once I started I felt better and was glad that I completed the workout.

Travel was something that I had to deal with and it takes much planning. I packed my food and took my DVD player with me. Yoga is an easy workout to do in the hotel. I did not skip one day and I did not cheat on my diet during the 90 days. I was tempted with food, but tried to stay focused.

My best advice for someone starting out is before starting plan your goals, try some workouts, and start eating right. Schedule your start day on the day that works best for you. I started on a Saturday so that I had resistance day on Saturday and Plyo on Sunday then resistance on monday, then if I traveled I did not really need dumbells. I only had Yoga, Kenpo or legs and back. The door mounted chinup bar alowed me to do legs and back when I traveled. So that schedule worked well for me. I changed my diet 2 weeks before starting P90X making sure that I had a routine down for eating and I watched the DVD so that I knew what the workouts were about. So when I started day 1, I had most everything figured out. Not saying everything went perfect, but you are always adjusting.

I hope this log helps those of you thinking about P90X. By the way I will be starting round 2 on Saturday!

After and off day on Friday, well I did play vollyball, by the way plyo has been great for my vollyball game. I decided to start round 2 of P90X on Saturday. I probably will not update everyday, but will post updates. I need to post my day 90 pictures.

ROUND 2
Day 1 and 2

I did cardio X in the morning after breakfast and then hit the treadmill for 1 mile right after Cardio X. I am sticking with my normal P90X time and did chest and back in the evening. I did not feel real energetic, but was able to increase my numbers in this workout. I did 260 pushups a increase of 16 over the last time I did this workout. I also did 86 pullups, a increase of 10 over the last time that I did this workout. I seem to have good increases after the recovery week. I am going to have to set some new goals for this workout.

Ab ripper is easy now, even fifer scissors is not a problem anymore, although I still am not flexible enough to get my leg straight:)

On sunday I did 3 miles on the treadmill after breakfast and then headed to church and lunch at the in-laws. I tried to watch I was eating. I then did plyo in the evening followed my 1 last mile on the treadmill.

This next 90 days is going to be hard to do, beacuse of the concert season. As a stage hand some shows I am working 18 hours and eat what I can, not always on my normal schedule. So it will be just another challenge. I do know that I will be in much better shape this year:)

Hey bro, I said the same thing to Anthony Le, you should think about entering into being in the 4th P90X infomercial. Your results are outstanding. All the info can be found here:

Day 90, 165 and 8% fat

Round 2
Day 3 and 4
I am continuing to push play on P90X round 2. I am also continuing with the current phase III diet and not starting with fat shredder. Anyway, not really much more to add, I am still making gains in my workouts, which suprises me cause I thought that I was pushing the limit. I really think that the recovery week is a key to making strength gains once your back into the resistance training.

I really like the arms and shoulders workout, it just hits the muscles from every angle.
