Missed 4 days due to viral fever attack :( 1 Year, 8 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi All,

I was going very smooth and was happy to see the results and suddenly I caught cold and viral fever. Now I am 4 days back and sill have a bit of weakness, will start immediately once I recover and have full strength.

I was really looking to post my 3 weeks pics, but now I will have to delay it by another week, I feel sad abt it. Anyways, this forum keeps me motivated that I have a long way to go and its achievable.

Keep workin HARD..

Regards,
Abhinav

Happens to the best of us, there's not much we can do about catching colds or pulling a muscle or something. Just get back on track once you feel better. The main thing is not to lose the motivation you had before. That's what tends to happen to me when I get sick. I miss a week and then I just can't get back into it. Keep it up and you'll do great!

yes, I am back , ALso I have joined NIKE RUnning club so I am also preparing myself for the 10K race on 8/31/2008 in NYC.

It has been 3 weeks but I am not much chnages in my PICs, however I can feel the chnages. Therefore I am thinking of extending it one more week before the recovery week. Will that be a good idea?

Regards,
Abhi.

A lot of people see the most results (changes) during or after the recovery week. I wouldn't guage my workouts based on what physical changes you can see. The workout is made up of changes every so often in the routine and incorporating rest weeks to have your muscles guessing (muscle confusion) so as to never plateau. If you really want to, you can do another week of Phase I before your rest week. If not, go for the rest week and you may see more results than you thought. You'll see once you finish your rest week and start Phase II how sore you'll be after the first workout.

Cheers and keep up the great work!

Guess what? In P90X Plus, they indicate that it's okay to take a rest week, or two or three, between the end of P90X and the beginning of P90X Plus!

Bottom line...listen to your body and take some extra time if you need it. After P90X was finished, I had two swollen and sore knees. I'm enjoying my first week of a two week recovery. I'm still doing the daily workouts and doing X-Stretch on the "rest day". My knees are better, I'm still dropping weight, and I still feel great. I do think I'll need that second week and I can't wait for the P90X Plus.

Now, if we all can say "I can't wait to start" we know we've found something our bodies need!

Keep bringin' it...

Kevin
