TOPIC: Day 1 Week2: P90X is bringing me back to shape

Day 1 Week2: P90X is bringing me back to shape 3 years, 8 months ago #3279

Hi All,

After one week of complete workout, I can see that I am still strugling with pull ups can do only 20 and then 25 at a time.

After that I can do other close grips and reverse grips with 10 to 15 reps only. Hope I will increase it day by day.

However, the biggest gain I am getting is "SWEET PAIN" on by back, this shows that I am getting a nice workout.

Today was once again CHEST and BACK.

Regards,
Abhi

I'm on my first day of week 2 as well and the workout seems to be going very well too. Although after reading your post, 25 and 20, even 15 pull-ups is really not a little amount. That's actually REALLY good for pull-ups. Not sure if you're light or what not, but most people can't do nearly that many. Anyway, it seems like you're doing really well. Keep it up!

The words only and 20-25 pull ups should never be used in the same sentence. Thats something to be proud of. However, it is good that you still have goals of increasing that amount.

When I started p90x, I could do a total of like 1 or two pull ups. I'm on my 5th week and now I'm busting out 7. So theres some motivation that your number of pull ups you can do will definitely increase if you work hard enough.

10-15 pull ups
man you must have a super strong back. I'd like to see how many you will do at the end of the program.

Well,

Forgot to mention something, I am 142 lbs only and have been working on gym for last 3 years. However, My main aim is to run BOSTON marathon next year. I cam run 7 miles in 1 hr these days.

I was Fat 3 years back , then reduced my weight 20 lbs less and have been maintaining. I chose P90X to remove my last belly fat and put on muscles, for which I am strill strugling. Will post my week 1 pic soon.

Regards,
Abhi
