I know I should just keep at it to get back to where I was, but seeing me weaker that I was when I first started back then is very discouraging.
You should use this to encourage you rather than discourage you.
I did my first workout on Monday and I need to lose about 70lbs ... so you can imagine how out of shape I am.
I haven't always been this way. At the start of this decade I was running half marathons and was able to wear tight tops to get the ladies ... it failed and I attracted a few males ... but hey ... at least it shows I was in good shape
Anyway, whilst doing the first days work I felt ashamed that I was so unfit. I could 'taste' the junk food that I have chucked down my throat in the last 7 years or so.
It was a horrible feeling and I thinking you feeling was similar ... but in amongst all of that I knew I was back on track.
Anyway, my two-pennies worth is to stick with it as that is the only way to move away from that feeling of being weak, unfit and general unhappiness. If you quit you will feel more of the disappointment that you are speaking of.
I'm on Day 3 and about to do my workout and I feel better than I did on Monday.
It's no good beating ourselves up about how we got here. We are all in a great position to move forward away from this bad feeling.
Press play and do your Plyo today. It took me about an hour and a half to do the hour workout yesterday. That was because I was pressing pause as much as I was pressing play ... but needs must.
Bottom line is I still did an hour of Plyo ... and that is an hour more than had I sat on my bum eating junk.
