yoyojoe

I have been having a protein drink for breakfast. It's quick and easy to drink on the way to work. There are plenty of them out there that are low carb/fat.

It doesn't matter where you start. It's where you finish that counts. 15 years ago I thought I was going to be the next great American Muay Thai fighter and I trained to fight at 154 pounds. I was at about 12% BF. A knee injury led me to weight training instead of fighting and after many bulking sessions and then a long slide into a sedentary lifestyle I began this program at 211ish with 25% bf. My long term goal is 180 at 10% bf. I have a very long way to go.

*blink* but... I don't like elephant... too chewy . Actually what I DON'T like is 'gater. Had that at the fair - Ick.

Anyways, I am shocked at how much I like getting up and working out at 5am. Today was my second day, it hasn't even been hard! Well, I did for a split second think this morning - I don't REALLY need to workout today. But I did . I get up, have oatmeal, vitamins and my powder, shower #1 then work out - its great!

Hubby quit already . That bums me out but I promised a long time ago not to be one of those nagging wives. Stupid promise *kicks it*

Sorry to hear your husband gave up. Don't do the same. Maybe after the 90 days he will see what it has done for you and then get started again for good. So hang in there with the rest of us!

Did arms and shoulders today. Great workout. The second week has been so much better then the first. Knowing what is coming has helped me pace myself so much better. I still push it but leave enough in the tank to make it through to the end.

Now another hour and a half and off to my martial arts class for an hour of training.

Sorry to hear about your hubby. My wife did the first 60 or so days with me and lost 30lbs.

I did Plyo this morning and had my best ever workout with plyo. I basically started off much slower and was able to make it into the bonus round

Didn't feel like doing YogaX today. I just had too much energy to burn so decided to pull out CardioX. Easier then Plyo but harder then Yoga. So had a good workout. Plus no workout is complete without Tony doing a great imitation (won't tell you who - you will have to find out on your own).

My wife mentioned today that it looks like I am losing weight. It is nice when someone notices.

Re:Anyone starting on the 17th? 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Just finished legs and back. I think this is my favorite workout. I just feel so exhausted and worked afterwords. Maybe that means I just need to bring it more to the others. I feel like my clothes are starting to fit differently, maybe that's more psychological than actual.

I actually got 3 people to start working out with me. I made a bet with one of them. We have 6 months to get a 6 pack. The winner gets $100. So I have an extra incentive to really starting bringing it with you guys.

I agree with you guys about Kenpo. Not that big of fan. The weights sound like a good idea. I also have the P90X plus discs so I might try the Kenpo Cardio Plus disc on those days and see what it's like.

Yoga is challenging to say the least but I think it will be very beneficial to all aspects of the workouts and other areas of your life if you know what I mean. Well time to shower and get ready for work. One more day then we completed 2 weeks!!! 15% done, wow time flys.

207lbs today that's down 5 down from last Monday, but if you recall 2 lbs down from last Saturday. I knew the 212 weigh in was water weight. Two pounds in a week... I'll take it.

Week 2 almost done 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Good week so far, except my diet could be slightly better. Not that I'm eating badly, just my timing and quantities are a little off.

- Yoga was awesome, if still challenging. From that combined with other stretching I'm already feeling much more limber, and I LOVE IT!

- Chest & Back, Arms & Shoulders, Legs & Back. All decent work outs. Nothing special to note.

- Ab Ripper X, every session I feel myself able to do more, which can only be a good sign and is encouraging too.

- Kenpo today, and seeing as I didn't find it at all challenging before, I decided to put on some gloves, and and grab the bars from my dumbells,(which are a decent weight by themselves).

Holding on to these, for EVERY movement/combinations involving the hands REALLY upped my workout. I actually enjoyed it this week, no longer boring.

- Stretching tomorrow
I may even go for a run too. I'm signed up for a half marathon in October, so I really need to up my distances.

Those still going here, good work! and bring it!

Hey guys - hope you're all great? GJ on the loss Drago! You rock!

At this point I'm having to use the workouts as a reward. If I have my study goals done I get to do it. Because I can't study and DVD at the same time I'm having to eliptical it instead mostly. Cause I can read while I do it. Actually if you let go of the handles, stand up striaght and hold the book its a bit of the core too. This is supposed to be my fourth week

Phew...Plyo and Ab Ripper X today. Getting better with both. Don't care for the v roll ups. Not coordinated for those yet.

Now off to my martial arts class. I am going to pay for this tomorrow.

sdfrcf, what Martial Arts are you doing? I'm dying to get back in to it... possibly either Tai Chi or Jiu Jitsu.

Sunday - Stretch X
I can officially touch my toes without bending my legs. Only took 2 weeks, so I'm psyched to see how far I get in the full 90 days!

Today - Chest & Back, Ab Ripper X
I had no motivation this morning. Plowed through, and ended up as one of my best sessions yet. Diet pretty good too... snacking on nuts all day at work to stave off hunger, and keep protein flowing in me.

Definitely the thought of change in the next couple weeks is really helping keeping my motivation high for this program. I haven't looked completely ahead to week 4 or 5, so I'm curious to see what it brings. I think this week will pass really quickly.

It is American Tae Kwan Do and then the instructor has thrown in some Ju Jitsu ground self defense. He has done P90X so he loves to torture us with Mason twists and tire hops over a stack of body shields.

Shoulders and Arms today. One of my favorite days. Hard to believe this is Week 3 Day 3. It seems like I just started.

Hope everyone else is still Bringing It!!

Yeah no kidding. I had to stop and think about what week I was in today. For me the first week was really a feeling out period to see what the program was about. The second week was seeing what my body could do. This week has been all about trying to leave it all on the mat. Every ounce of energy, that's what I'm trying to give. Now keep in mind, I'm fat and 45, so I have a long way to go before I catch up with Tony but I will keep chasing him. In fact after thinking about what week it was for me (3), I was kind of sad that week 4 coming up will be my recovery week.

To that point, I'm seriously considering trying to do doubles when phase two rolls around. I'll have to see how that fits in with my family's schedule. I still have to help with dinner and the kids homework after work and play World of Warcraft with my kids in the evenings. I think I can steal away an hour in there somewhere two to three times a week. I have the energy I think to pull it off. I may have to increase my calories a bit to keep it up. We'll see. Like I said, I'm considering it.

Don't Give up. Another week and a half and we'll be 33% done.

first, good job all who are keeping up.

as for me, not going very well. just too much going on (still trying to get settled in my new place). so, i'm gonna can it for now and try to restart somewhere around the 14th. figure with the labor day holiday coming up, and then my birthday next week, it'll be hard to keep up with the diet (or working out for that matter).

good luck the rest of the way guys! i know you can do it. i'll hang around and help out where i can. BRRRRRRRING ITTT!!
