Anyone starting on the 17th? 7 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
I finally have all the pieces in place and am ready to begin on Monday Aug 17th. Anyone else looking to start Monday?

I'm 45 male and want to lose 35lbs. I may not make it on the first round but it won't be for lack of trying. I'm a firm believer that diet is king. Perhaps I should say nutrition is king. The word diet, to me, has some dubious connotations. I have a history (way back there somewhere) in weight training and martial arts.

Come with me, leave everything else behind. Turn on the switch on August 17th and don't turn it off for 90 days. Let's Rock!

I'll start with you! I've done phase one before a couple months ago but then stopped cause I was moving and summer was just to nice to stay inside and exercise. I'm 212.5 lbs and would like to drop down to around 180 lbs.

I started today. So only a day ahead which shouldn't be a big deal. Doing the Classic this time around.

My goal is to lose about 15 lbs. For me the diet should be relatively easy. The hard part for me will be upper body strength, or lack there of. Did Chest & Back today and couldn't do rep's when I got into round two.

So if you don't mind the day difference I will make my way through this with you.

Currently weigh 188lbs 5'11". Hoping to get down to around 170-172.

I have already done 60 days starting back in May, but I kind of broke down at the end of July. I am starting all over again today Monday August 17th.

I am 6' and weigh 210 lbs. I would like to get around 180lbs.

Just did the first chest and back routine. Feels great! I'm doing the workouts in the morning cause I know I wont want to do them after work. The great thing about doing them in the morning is I am so awake and full of energy I feel like a drank a whole pot of coffee.

Let me know how the first day went for you guys. I'm not looking forward to plyo tomorrow. It's the hardest workout out of all of them.

hey all, just saw this thread.

the wife and i are planning to start up (again!) tonight. technically, this is round 3 for me. so hoping to take it up another notch. the nutrition is still hard as heck for me, as i'm a big eater!

@labguy, i wish i could wake up in the mornings to workout. i do mine after work. i would LOOOVE to do it in the morning, but i just cannot wake up! (any advice to help drag myself out of bed??)

Lets bring it!!

I have to do the workouts in the morning because once school (I'm a teacher) starts back up, I work a second job and do not get home until 7:00. I try to got to bed about 9:00 because I have to be at school at 6:00 am, so I get up around 4:00 to 4:30.

My biggest problem is that I eat too much as well. Dieting is hard for me. I LOVE sugar in any form. I can give up pastas, potatoes, and breads as I don't really care for them, but Sweets are too hard for me to give up.

I have been known to eat a whole bag of Chips ahoy cookies and a gallon of milk in one sitting. I'm surprised I'm not fatter than I am.

Oh yeah, I HATE plyo. My heart races really too fats sometimes when I do it. I'm basically trying to push myself too hard.

Araris, I'm facing the same problem. School starts in a week (not a teacher yet, still in school myself). My choice is to get up at 5am and workout or wait til 9pm. I'd love to be a 5am type person I'm just not . I'm tryin to work it out.

I've never had a sweet tooth. It's the pastas, breads, rice, crackers, and potatoes that I miss trying to follow the meal plan. Lettuce and chicken just isn't satisfying. During the week I tend to do pretty good, it's the weekends when I have time to sit around and think about all the things I'd like to eat that are trouble.

As far as getting up early I guess it's just self motivation. I mean I'm a single 25 year old guy that doesn't want to be single for the rest of his life. So I'm getting up and working out to make me feel better about myself, I've always wanted a six pack, and to attract the ladies. Plus I don't want to workout after work and still have to make dinner. I wouldn't be eating until like 8 or 9 at night and we really shouldn't be eating within 3 hours of going to bed.

Question for members:
Something that I have noticed about myself is that I can do cardio X and Kenpo with no problems. However, When I do Plyometrics, I always seem to struggle because my heart races and I wheeze almost like I asthma. I have never been diagnosed with asthma, but I am curious now does anyone on here ever have any problems with Plyo or with wheezing?

Did Plyo yesterday. Feel it in my legs today. It was tough but made it through it just fine. Only 87 more days to go.

Made it through plyo! The worst is over for the week! I also have asthma. If you're wheezing, feel short of breath or dizzy than you might want to do cardio X for phase one then bring plyo in for phase 2. Get your body used to using more of your lung capacity. Other than that it's more making sure to breath in through your nose and out through your mouth. That will slow down your breaths to a more controlled tempo and alleviate some of those problems.
