I'm new to these boards but have been lifting/training for several years. P90X is my newest adventure.
I am a bit concerned about a lot of the advice that is being passed out on the nutrition area of these boards. While I agree that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, a lot of this information is just false, incorrectly interpreted, or against P90X's guidelines.
The P90X program is essentially a body builders workout plan. High protein, good fats, and moderate carbs. It is a reinterpretation of every diet you'll find on all the major bodybuilder sites, etc. It is designed to support a body that is training at the level P90X has you trained, it is tried and tested, and it works like a champ.
I would recommend everyone who is new to workout nutrition to read a few articles that I have kept as reference for a long time. Dr. John Berardi is a very well respected resource in the fitness community, and much of P90x is in line with his theories. Anyway - the P90x nutrition guide gets you started, but this stuff will show you the "why" behind what you're doing. That is, of course, if you're serious about this program.
