I just finished week 3 of phase one on p90x and the 1800 calorie portion plan. I have only lost 2 pounds and have seen minimal changes in my physique. I think this may be due to not follow the food list completely and cheating sometimes. In the nutrition guide tony says cheating is not an option. I was considering 2 options to maximize my results. Option 1 continue the fat shredder phase one diet instead of the phase two diet or to redo phase one completely diet and exercises and follow it to a "t".so I would basically restart p90x. Please give me some advice!

Don't restart. Clean up your diet, you still have time to make changes. Remember, if you are losing fat but adding muscle, you may not lose much weight. I gained 5lb because I was so close to my goal weight, but got smaller.

ditto to what Veerukka said,

I've actually gained 2lbs but I've gotten noticeably less round. Don't track your progress through the scale. If anything use those electronic fat analyzers or just see how many belt loops you can loose. It's never too late to eat healthier and clean it up. If you don't get the results you want the first pass do P90X again but with the cleaner diet.

I totally agree with veerukka and corp_t. In addition to their replies, I would like to suggest getting your body fat measured and use that as a measuring standard. Like Veerukka said, you can actually gain weight and lose body fat. That is a good thing.

Btw, there is nothing wrong with repeating the phase 1 plan if it helps you meet your goals. It even states it in the nutrition guide.

Thanks for your advice!I am just disappointed in myself because I've worked so hard doing the workouts and I know if I followed the diet I would have amazing results! So I guess I will continue phase one all the way through until I can clean up my diet. I ate some cake today at work and I totally regret it. I just need to find the will power! I can do it! And bring it!

I also want to add that P90X is 70% nutrition / 30% workout.
