Stomach Exercises? 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
And no, I'm not talking about AbRipper X. I'm talking about the amount of food you're supposed to eat in the nutrition plan. HOLY COW THAT'S A LOT OF FOOD! lol

Today was just day one for me, but we started the nutrition plan yesterday. I'm doing phase 1, level 2, using the portion approach. And so far every meal I've had has left me feeling completely stuffed! Now, I've never been a big eater anyways, and have generally had a pretty health diet as far as not eating much junk/fast/snack-foods. That being said, I'll also readily admit that in the past I probably have been eating less than I should have been eating.

But along with everything else does the nutrition program get easier to do the longer you stick with it? I fully understand that I need proper nutrition to get the desired results, but can I expect my stomach to be more accepting of these meals that are HUGE compared to what I'm used to eating?

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

You'll appreciate the amount of food pretty soon. the intensity of the exercises will require that much food.

Try to break up the meals into smaller amounts so you are eating 6 or 7 times a day. I had to force myself to eat earlier in the morning so I can get it all in throughout the day.

And Les is right, soon you will have no problem stuffing that much food down.

Yeah, my original plan was go break my portions up as follows:
Breakfast: 3 Protein, 2 Dairy, 1 Fat
Mid-Morning Snack: 1 Bar, 1 Fruit
Lunch: 2 Protein, 2 Vegetable, 1/2 Carb, 1/2 Dairy, 1/2 Condiment
Afternoon Snack: Double Snack (Dried fruit and nuts)
Dinner: 2 Protein, 2 Vegetable, 1/2 Carb, 1/2 Dairy, 1/2 Condiment
Workout at 9pm, followed by Recovery Drink.

So far the meals have been quite a bit to pack down at once, so what I might do is spread things out a little bit more so that my snacks are a bit bigger.

Example of one day's eating looks like this:
Breakfast: 1 Cup Egg Beaters scrambled and topped with 1 oz Feta Cheese and 3 oz Avocado, 2 pieces Turkey Bacon, 8 oz Skim milk.
Snack: Bar with 1 cup grapes.
Lunch: Salad w/ 2 cups mixed greens, 6 oz can of Tuna, 1/2 cup Garbonzo Beans, a little shredded non-fat cheddar cheese, some fat free dressing, and a glass of low sodium V8 Juice.
Snack: 4 pieces dried apricots, 1 oz cashews or pistachios.
Dinner: Same as lunch (I eat it before commuting home from work)

ps--Brownie points to Courtland for logo recognition (low fat brownies of course )

I'm having the smae issue. I just don't need this much food. Eating clean tends to keep me fuller than usual. And after Plyo I'm just trying to choke down a recovery drink without throwing up.

It's only been 2 days though. I'm expecting that after a few more days of this I'll be looking for a lot more food.
