How big is a cup? 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi
I started week 3 today & i have notice some changes in my Shoulders arms & leg. Mainly my legs. I have been sticking to the Portion plan but my gut is not getting smaller (which is my main reason for doing P90x)

I think my portions are to big.

1 meat = 3oz
1 veg = 1 cup

How big is a cup?

invest in a kitchen scale, and a measuring cup, if you have not already. tho honestly, eating more veggies really should not hurt you at all.

and its only week 3, be patient! and how are you gauging that your gut isnt getting smaller? are you measuring or just looking at yourself in the mirror? it may not look like its getting smaller, but really could be. just throwing that out there.

I did get a scales but i have just been using a cup from my kitchen. I have just been eye balling it & i should really measure it.

I'm concern that my portions are to big because i cant physically eat all that is in the plan. 2 meat & 2 veg should not leave me feeling like i'm going to vomit from fullness.

I also seen on this forum that a small mistake in the diet can lead to big disappointments in the results & i have had good results so far everywhere else.

1 cup would be around .24 liters or 8 ounces. I think that if you eat several small meals during the day you will not feel so full. The key is to give your body a constant source of nutrition.

Don't worry too much about sizing veggies, you can never eat too many. I usually overeat my veggies and just call it a cup. It's my meat and grains I make sure to weight and track how much I'm eating.
