Follow-up Questions:

1) Does anybody have any knowledge or information on flax seed? I heard it assisted with weight loss. I've been putting a tablespoon or two in my protein shakes. Is it worth it, cuz it ruins the taste of my shakes.

2) Would it hurt to run twice or three times a week? Just two miles? And if not, what days would it be best? On the resistance days or the yoga/kempo like days?

All I know about flax seeds are that they are a healthy fat and your body does require that in order to function. Omega 3 fats for example cannot be produced by the human body but are beneficial for weight reduction and maintainability. If you have whole flax seeds and do not grind them down first however, I know that your body will not absorb the fats from them so if you buy them whole you can just use a coffee grinder. 1 tbsp of flax seeds is approximately 100 calories so just be sure to stay in your caloric range recommended by the nutrition guide.

As for running, it would probably be best on a day like chest and back or shoulders and arms because you are not doing cardio on those days already. I commend you if you have the energy to run on top of p90x

you don't like flax seeds change it with almonds butter or something else, you're just in search of some good fat.

as for running, you can do it everyday if you so wish, however on Plyo day you might want to do it before the workout because the chances of grabbing your running shoes are minimal after burning 1000 calories

Flaxseed oil can go bad if it is old and/or not properly refrigerated. I used to put flaxseed oil in my peanut-butter banana w/ chocolate protein powder shakes, and didn't really notice the flavor at all. If it really is tasting bad, it may have turned to the dark side . . .

Flax seed oil is a waste of money in my opinion. If you are going to use it I would buy ground flax seed. It has alot more than oil and lasts longer. Most of the time cheaper too! You can usually find it in the baking or bulk food isle of most major grocers.
