TOPIC: Protein/Carb Ratio?

Am I wrong in thinking that the 50/30/20 ratio is impossible to obtain unless you eat strictly meats and egg whites?

I don't follow the nutrition guide meals but I do strictly limit carbs and eat high protein levels. Almost everything has carbs. If I have a protein shake the shake has more carbs than protein. The guide states to eat things like stirfry, how does that fit into the perameters? Doesn't make sense to me.

You need a much better protein shake then.. My protein shake has 26protein/4carbs/1.5 fat.. Also all you should really eat is food high in protein and vegetables and fruits.. Avoid all pasta's/grains for awhile. It does take some getting used to but you'll do it..

A great filler food is low fat cottage cheese. Replace your rice and stuff with that. I only eat chicken and occassionally pork tenderloin for meat. You just need to find what foods will work with your palate.

It's possible, you just have to plan it out. I don't eat meat, eggs, or most dairy products and I can still manage those ratios. Tho, to do it, I only eat 1/2 serving of carbs a day max, usually oatmeal. All my other carbs come from fruits and veggies.

For my protein shake...I usually just mix whey with water. It's not the best tasting stuff, but it's cheap and low in carbs.

No, it's possible, you just have to plan it out. I don't eat meat, eggs, or most dairy, and I can still hit those ratios.
