TOPIC: P90X Through the Holidays

Does anyone have any tips for how to manage the nutrition plan through the holidays? With Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up, what techniques have people used to stick with the workouts and nutrition?
Thanks. |

I think the only way to get through these holidays while sticking to the diet is to plan ahead.
If you're going to a family members house for a Christmas party or Thanksgiving dinner eat before you go or brown bag it and pack a dinner. Also you could lie and say your sick so you're not tempted by all the awesome food you can't eat. To me it seems your diet while going through P90X is even more important than the workouts and definitely harder to stick with. Someone explained it well once. They said, the workouts are 1 hour each day, while the diet plan is 23 hours. With that in mind, just keep telling yourself you cannot slip and do whatever it takes to stick to the plan. Good luck. |

Just remember to plan your other meals around your family meals. I am not planning on brown bagging it like gonnagiveit2ya suggested, but what I'll do is make sure there are healthy alternatives to mashed potatos with butter. Obviously turkey is lean meat, so if you replace your sides with things like steamed green beans, or salad, and whole wheat rolls instead of regular ones, you will be fine. Just make sure you do not overeat, and if you do, make your other meals smaller to compensate. It shouldn't be too hard
