Hi everyone.

I'm on my third week of phase 1 of P90X. I wake up at 4:30AM, eat half a banana and a protein drink on certain days. By 5:00AM I start the program. Right after I take a recovery drink, shower then by 7:00AM I am eating breakfast. I eat whatever the nutrition plan says but I haven't lost much weight. I am noticing differences. I'm hoping that I'm just gaining a lot of muscle mass but I'm not sure. Anyone else having these problems or could shoot out some advice? I'm a level 2. Currently 154 pounds, 5'7". Thank you!

Focus on how you feel and the visible results that you are experiencing, not what the scale says. You're burning fat & gaining muscle.

I'm in week 6. Started at 166, and I'm around 165 now, but my fat% has dropped by 3-5% Gained about an inch on my arms, which points to an increase in muscle weight. I suspect the same is true for you - even if you can't really see or measure it yet.

I'm assuming you're male based on your stats.

I am a 30 year old male, 5'9", when I and started the program I weighed 170lbs. Saturday is my day 90 and I'm only down 10lbs total. I definitely have more fat to lose still but my muscles are much more defined, my pants are looser and my shirts tighter. I'm still a couple of months away from a 6-pack but it's coming in.

My advice to you is don't focus too much on weight loss. It's not the scale that matters but how you look and feel. You're going to be burning fat and building muscle over these 90 days so expect some canceling out as far as the pounds go. If you're more concerned with dropping weight though I'd cut your total caloric intake. I'd be surprised if I'm consuming 2000 calories per day. I cut back on some of my carb intake over the past couple of weeks and my weight loss has dropped more rapidly.

It sounds like you don't have much fat to lose to begin with, so don't expect huge weight loss. Healthy weight loss is 1-2lbs a week.
