TOPIC: Maximizing muscle growth

After using the First Phase of P90X to burn off as much fat as I possibly could, I'm really trying to maximize my gains for Phase 2 since Phase 3 will not get the kind of attention it deserves (School starting again).
What do I need to do before, during and post workout to ensure that I'm maximizing my gains? |

Protein, protein, protein! One gram per pound of body weight is recommended. Here is a good article, and GREAT site related to all aspects of fitness/nutrition:

It's 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per kilogram of lean body weight. Too much protein will destroy your kidneys!

Salmon, Fish, and Protein is required in appropriate quantity with 4 small meals a day to Weight gain

Eat more - a lot more. Make sure you have enough calorie surplus to gain at least 5lbs/month. If you can do more than 6 reps of any of the bodyweight exercises, use a 40~60lb weight vest or a heavily weighted backpack. Make sure you are going for max weight, not max reps for the resistance ones.
