Looks pretty good other than I would cut a little down on the protein. Like 210 range, but thats me. Other than that it looks good.
Other opinions? |

Well, if he's going by the guides recommended percentages he's pretty close. I have a different diet structure that is better suited for my goals out of P90x, so I can't personally say what's good or not good for you.

I am also curious about this. I'm on my third day, level II as well. I've been tracking my calories on Livestrong.com, and have hit 50% protein, 30% carbs, and 20% fat pretty close. My numbers were:
2300 cal. 278g protein 168g carbs 54g fat According to P90X, this is textbook 50/30/20. However it seems very tough to put that much protein and that little carbs into your body. Even that many calories is tough for me when I eat clean. I have also noticed that most of the days on the "Meal Plan" in the book, if added up, yield no where near 50/30/20. Closer to 40/40/20 or 35/45/20. This is a very confusing and frustrating book to go by. |

Myself and other people have noticed that too. I personally stopped used that diet plan and use www.mypyramid.gov
You can never get the diet plan right but you can try to get it close. If you want a finicky diet plan then do this, Find how much protein you want, then out of those proteins decide of how of each kind your going to eat. Not all proteins are the same, different amino acids combinations make up different proteins. Different proteins absorb different and you need different amino acids. And thats just proteins alone. Nobody really wants to do that so don't be so precise. Be close, but not precise. And not every diet plan is for you, your body may respond different to different things. Maybe you don't like a certain food. These things happen all the time, there are always more than one way to do things. |
