From quickly looking over it, it looks like you're taking in too many carbs. If you're following the p90x nutrition plan, you only want one serving of carbs outside of your recovery drink. The recovery drink has a ratio of 4 parts carbs / 1 part protein, you can either use the p90x drink or chocolate milk. However, it is to be used 20-30 minutes after your hardest workout of the day, reasoning behind this is for the carbs to lay the groundwork for all the protein you take in throughout the day to settle with he carbs. You dont want to be taking in all those random carbs throughout the day during phase one. From a quick glance I see three servings of bread and cereal, four is not good, when it's supposed to be one, plus the recovery drink during the recovery period.

Then again, if you said it's your meal plan and you aren't following p90x's plan then disregard all of this. I am not a nutritionist, so if you are trying to do a nutrition program outside of what is used with p90x, you might want to check around on other boards.

Sorry... hope it helps.

Move that 8:30 to 9:00 snack to earlier in the day. Ideally you dont want to eat anything after 7:00pm (and that still might be too late). The exception might be a recovery drink if you workout at night.

Too much carbs...1 serving per day (2 slices). Personally, this is the hardest thing for me to cut out. I'm a cereal adict...I used to eat a big bowl of "carby" cornflakes before bedtime and wonder why I still have love-handles...

That said it's good your planning meals out like that. I'm just cutting out bad habits and trying to get more protien. I was suprised how my cravings subsided once I cut carbs and eat more protien.

You're at 10% bodyfat to start? My opinion is that I'm not sure anyone here is really in a position to critque your plan as obviously what you've done thusfar is working.
I'm no nutrionist but if it were me personally I wouldn't worry about trimming any fat out of my existing diet (firguratively or literally) if I were at 10% bf. I'd probably just stick with what got me to 10% and add a serious daily protein shake to balance out the extra I'd be burning with P90X. Granted, it's not very scientific but that's what I'd do. Then I'd weigh myself daily with a scale that tracks bodyfat, only focus on that # and tweak things as I saw fit. I'm not into counting calories, measuring or weighing portions at all.

I agree with Stick legs. I think we need to be asking you about out diets. Most of us are in the high teens or twenties for fat%.

Looks good to me though, probably the only thing you could change to kill the rest of you fat is to drop more carbs like everyone else is saying. If you want a simple way to do that, instead of having tuna sandwiches, make a simple tuna salad. Basically, instead of bread just put the tuna in a bowl, mix with some veggies, mayo, etc and enjoy with a fork.

Re:My Meal Plan. Tell me What You Guys Think! 8 Months ago Karma: 0
thanks alot for your opinions guys! I am currently 10% BF, Ive been eating lots of Carbs to get bigger as In Muscle.. Im in the 2nd Phase of P90X by the way, and I am using it to Gain More Muscle and still burn fat. thats the reason why Im consuming lots of carbs, and my Fat on the Meal Plan is so low. I am not using P90X's Meal Plan, that's why I basically made my own.. that's why Im posting it here to hear some opinions.
