Pretty much anything is good, but most people around here reccomend a recovery drink that has 4 parts carbs to 1 part protein. The one you have isn't even 2 to 1.

What I ended up doing to save a lot of money over time was look at the main ingredients that aid muscle recovery (creatine, amino acids, nitric oxide) and add pure powder versions of those ingredients to nonfat or lowfat chocolate milk. Chocolate milk has 4:1 carbs:protein. Before bed, I would drink a protein drink.

You see that big tub of whey protein underneath the little tub of pure creatine in the video? That's the exact stuff I use. It runs me about $18 and lasts almost a month. As far as protein shakes go you really don't need anything beyond that.

Keep in mind that it's a protein drink and not a post-workut recovery drink.

You can get creatine, amino acids, nitric oxide, etc. all that good stuff online. I get it from different places every time, just whoever is selling it cheapest that day. Make sure you pay attention to servings per container. This will factor into how much you're spending per month.
