The milk contains animal proteins that once broken down have all the amino acids your body will need. If you're going to mix it with regular syrup, try to get the healthiest type of syrup you can, otherwise don't worry about it. So long as you keep portions of the syrup right I wouldn't worry too much about how much sugar is in it.

There's also ovaltine, which has less sugar than the syrup and some bonus vitamins & minerals. Quite tasty

Hi,

I use the powdered chocolate milk because I'm beginning to be lactose-intolerant, so I also use soy milk as well.

My question is do you drink 1 cup or 2 cups of chocolate milk? I cant' tell which amount is better. I'll be starting my first round of P90X in less than 2 weeks and I wanna be prepared.

Thank you!

If you keep your head while everyone else is panicking, then you obviously do not comprehend the problem.

Why not just buy the chocolate soy milk? It's already mixed and tastes really good. You can even get it in low fat versions depending on which brand you choose. My wife is allergic to milk products and she hates the vanilla taste of normal soy milk, so we buy a ton of chocolate soy milk.

Well I buy it separately because it's too much chocolate. This way I can mix it too my preference. It's the same reason I buy the powdered gatorade.

Chocolate Milk is an excellent "natural" recovery drink. I found a new product called SIMPLY SMART Fat free chocolate milk from a campany (dairy) called Hood. It has 12 grams of Protien per serving (1 cup)!! and 28 grams of carbs. 50% more protien than reg milk, no fructose corn syrup, low cholesterol....

Thats a great recovery formula, even a great "pre-event" drink for any of you endurance athletes out there.
