TOPIC: Changin up the protein shake
Changin up the protein shake 2 years, 2 months ago #28951

I've been using the p90x level II protein shake recipe, which is:
1cup milk 1cup berries 1/2 banana 1 1/2 scoop of pro powder I've read that some people will add peanut butter to their shakes. Anybody know how they are changing the recipe to substitute in peanut butter? Thanks for the help. |

I found that recipe to be very thick. I like my shakes to be a little thinner and easier to drink.
My usual morning shake consists of 1 cup milk 1/2 - 1 cup water 6 or 7 ice cubes 2 scoops protein powder 1 - 2 tbsp lowfat peanut butter 1/2 tbsp UNSWEETENED cocoa powder cinnamon today I added half of a banana. I liked it a lot. Just realize if you don't put fruit in your morning shake, you have to eat it later on in the day. |

My protein shake:
2 Scoops ON Pro Complex - Chocolate 1 Cup Skim Milk 1/2 Banana 2 tablespoons Reduced Fat Peanut Butter 1 Handful of ice cubes. Adding fruit to your protein shake does not count as your fruit portion. |

Thanks for your ideas guys. I'm gonna make a protein shake after boxing tomorrow. I think I'll use half the blueberries I normally use and throw in 2tbsp of peanut butter with it.
Should be good. |
