I'm no expert, but as long as you have enough energy to work out and are not starving yourself. I'm pretty sure you should be fine. From what I've read and gathered from other threads, listen to your body and adjust accordingly.

On a side note, we should only be eating 4oz of meat a day?? I sometimes will eat 8oz or even 12 oz some times of chicken breast to reach my calorie/protein levels (in phase 1 of p90x). Is that bad? Also, what exactly is "starvation mode?"

Thanks

Technically you aren't supposed to be eating that much meat. America has a huge problem with this. That is why it is fairly difficult to get the proper amount of protein unless you use protein powder. The amount of food required to achieve protein quotas for an athlete is crazy.

Oh trust me, I CAN eat more than 1700 calories, easily. Trying to eat more than 1700 calories while only sticking to the Fat Burning Express 6 day "clense" is hard. It is 0 carbs, and a truckload of protein and veggies.

Hell I can hit up Chili's and take down a Buffalo Chicken salad for like 2100 calories in a MEAL, however that isn't what this is about. This is about eating ONLY healthy meals. To be honest, I don't think many people have ever eaten 100% healthy before. Most times it is 80-90% healthy, and people still toss in some stuff that is more for pleasure.

That or I guess I would just say, the 6 day fat burning clense on P90 is really rough on your system. I did P90X to a T, diet and exercise (doubles), and I never had this much trouble. P90X had me packin away 3k calories a day, and I lost 28lbs and dropped down to about 14% bodyfat.

when eating clean it certainly is tougher to get in calories. There is more than one way to skin a cat though and perhaps the P90 sample diet is tougher than the p90x diet. I don't think it matters if you choose the P90 diet, the P90x diet or your own diet as long as you eat the proper calories and macro ratios and eat clean whole foods then you will get good results. Trying to eat 1800 calories of mainly vegetables would be extremely difficult. And there is not a lot of calories in lean protein either, 5-6 oz of real turkey breast is not a lot of calories. But feel free to throw in stuff like black beans, yams, brown rice. Calories rack up quicker with those types of foods. Also fats like avacado, olive oil, nuts rack up calories quick so be sure to incorporate those into your diet.
