No problem.

I'm still trying to find out if we should be aiming to eat that many calories. Maybe it's just the max.

Austin said on my log that I should be eating way less then my 3000 calories. I am still not sure why??

Its scientific fact that the only way to genuinely burn fat is by a caloric deficit. So unless your a 230lbs wall of muscle, you wont be able ot create a deficit with that amount of calories, no matter how healthy.

However, the amount the P90x programme gives is an amount to sustain you, it is not designed ot provide a caloric deficit, so if oyu are trying to loose weight you should lower your calroies some, not much though.

If your aiming for muscle building and not weight loss, tick to the calories suggested, and make sure you get your percentages right, especially on the protein.

Its all about tweaking your diet so it fits into your lifestyle, eventually it will become second nature when you find someithing that works.

Sounds good, thanks for the info.

So since I'm trying to gain more lean muscle rather than loose weight I'll stick to the suggested 2400. And today I consumed 206g of protein which is well over what I need. Now it's a matter of tweaking my diet so the carbs go down.

Any suggestions guys?

Do not consume more protein than you need, excessively consuming it can lead to some pretty nasty problems.

If your muscle building, 8-10 reps which you already now, and the amount of protein you should be eating, not over, not less.

Bringing carbs down and keeping protein up is easy but just boring. chicken breast, most fish....it will get boring very quickly, but that is th ebest way to do it. Cut out stuff like rice, bread (or just limit it).
