started my insanity journey today. woke up at 5 am to do it, before eating, before the day could get me down. by the end of it, i was sweating buckets and crawling to my notebook to write the results! its was tough, and awesome. but that was just the test. im nervous for tomorrow! haha.topped off the workout with a protein shake. my results:

switch kicks - 53
power jacks - 30
power knees - 74
power jump - 15
globe jump - 6
suicide jump - 8
push up jack - 10
low plank obliques - 35


im 5'7", 185 lbs. looking to lose the last 30 lbs from pregnancy. alright!

did the fit test at 5 this morning. now, at 7:30pm, i am SO SORE! these next 59 days are going to be painful, huh?

day 2.... kicked my ass! up at 4:45 am to be able to do it before any food, as to burn more fat. have sweat dripping into my eyes. ugh. so sore. having my protein shake, then getting ready for my day!

I too work out on an empty stomach but more to avoid gas and cramps. How does working put on an empty stomach allow you to burn more fat?

i read another post by some one saying that if you workout after eating, your body will burn the carbs before fat. if you dont have any food in you there are no carbs to burn and your body pulls from your fat.

I also workout in the morning, the benefits of working out in the morning is that your body is depleted of carbs, so when you workout in the morning, your burning mostly fat. I've always gotten better results in the morning vs evening, but like Stick Legs said as long as you workout, that's all that matters. After I workout, I wait about 1 hr. before I take my protein, to get the most out of the fat burning state my body is in. Hope this helps."

day 3: could barely drag myself out of bed. slept through my alarm for an hour. could barely walk because my calves are so tight and sore. battled with myself about not doing the workout today. ultimately got up at 7 and did it. glad i did, but so sore. looking forward to the cardio recovery tomorrow.
